State Dems want to legalize medical marijuana to help plug budget gap

Senate Democrats are counting on a pot of gold!

They want to legalize medical marijuana as a way to generate nearly $15 million in licensing fees to help plug the state's $9 billion budget gap.

Meanwhile, A few years ago, a bill to legalize medical marijuana had passed the state Assembly and only to until now, wasn't even considered by the Senate.

It's time to get over the antiquated attitudes about marijuana and realize the good things it's legalization could do for our economy.
