2010: US is to China as
1940: Great Britain was to Germany

Economic rather than military war, but...

Brush up on your Chinese dialects, kiddies.

If you want a job in 2040.

4. So True. The restaurants are already in place; Chinese language should be mandatory in high schools.

2. The US is going down in defeat.
It will be difficult for US to come back as we continue our own self destructive behavior and actions.

3. Actually, i think they would be hurt more if we shut off their access
to the US Market...

The way out of this is to stop using our resources to police the world. The rest of the world is using the US as a de facto police force but instead of paying for the service, they are lending us their excess cash generated by our trade deficit to finance our military debt.

Take away our military budget and you have a whole different ball game.

Of course resources would go through the roof because the free movement of said resources would be hindered if not completely interrupted if the US were to suddenly with drawl it's navy.

This is the high wire act that we all find ourselves in as we all get deeper into the 21st Century.

I'm glad I never had kids.
