Since addresses of Dems have been posted by Teabaggers
And violence, and a Palin hitlist is upon us, should we post vigils outside of Dem housing? Would it benefit us to keep watch over those targetted for assassination? Perhaps neighborhood watch rampup? Police protection. A pres speech, to tell those intending harm, that we will annihilate you.

What to do?

1. Begin by arresting Palin, and others who foment violence against
others. Try them for terroristic threats and throw the prison keys away.

A line must be drawn and those who cross over that line must suffer the consequences. There is no other solution. The longer we wait to actively find and prosecute these people, the more courage they will take from our inaction.

Law enforcement agencies, not individual vigils, are the key things.

Enough!

4. Problem is, many law enforcement agencies are filled with teabag types.
Who do we trust?

8. In the case of most of these threats, it is federal laws that
are being broken. Threats against members of Congress are handled by the US Marshall's Service. Other federal crimes are handled by the FBI. I think those agencies can be directed by the President. It's time to crack down on these morons. A few prosecutions and the cowardly sort of teabagger will start refraining.

There's little we can do about the actual nutcases who we don't know about. They may act without any warning or prior information.

As for Sarah Palin, she is a private citizen, and no more than that. The FBI should pay her a visit, haul her in for questioning, and do it publicly.

Without a public show of official interest in these cases, nothing will happen and they will escalate. Of that, I'm sure.

Finally, every district office of every Democratic member of Congress should be installing 24/7, high-resolution security camera systems, paid for by the taxpayers. Any incidents should be immediately investigated and arrests made.

As for online forums, all threats should be followed up by personal visits by FBI agents.

If these people fear nothing, they will do anything.

32. The FBI is a nest of birthers and teabaggers and such, leftover from
the Bush era, and even going back to J Edgar's days. Why do you think there are so many Mormons in the FBI????

I don't trust them to investigate adequately or refer a single one of the threateners or inciters or terrorists for prosecution.

Just watch. Nothing will be done.

15. I completely agree
Anyone making threats against others or inciting violence should be arrested. That includes personalities on TV and Radio and that blowhard who is encouraging people to throw bricks through peoples windows. There are people on the right deliberately trying to start riots and encourage violence. They have confused their listeners with lies and outright slander. They need to be arrested if for no other reason to discourage others from embarking on the same path.. A serious attempt at returning our nation to civil discourse needs to take place now before things get out of control.

27. Unfortunately, Freepland is awash in assassination calls. I went there this morn
and found several threads that were doing just that. With the majority of posters doing likewise, with no attenuating voices. In fact, I will try to go get it, They are calling for that gunfest at the national mall, to become the start of the revolution.

29. here is some hate that should not be given ear
Anyone that didn't see this eventuality the minute that Barack Obama was elected President simply had their head in the sand. As Al Sharpton said last night, “First of all, then we have to say the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama.” When you elect the most liberal President in a generation, you get what you ask for. I actually am still shocked that they didn't get this done one year ago. Only ineptitude on the part of our opposition led to this drawn out process.

So now comes the first day of the rest of our political lives.

You can have no Democrat friends. They are dupes and enemies of America. They must be ostracized and shamed. Give them no quarter. Remove any favors granted. Make life for them as difficult as you are able.

They are your enemies

I tell all my friends that if I ever find out that they are Democrat supporters I will kill them. Obviously I don’t have many friends but I don’t care.

“All Obama supporters will be held accountable for what they have done.”

I have no Democrat friends, but I have 4 Democrat relatives (2 married couples) and the only time that I speak to them is when I give them hell.

I consider them to be enemies of America and therefore they're my enemies.

Your family has become the enemy. they are set on destroying America as it has been. That is what they are all about. They have been duped into thinking there is going to be a socialist Utopia.

Even if there was a racist slur thrown its meaningless. The constitution grants the same rights to racists as it does anyone else.

Beyond that it was pure distraction.

A tea-female should put out a competing charge that one of the congressmen while walking thought the crowd called out the c-word at her as a slur.....then watch as the media say, ‘YEAH? WELL PROVE IT and PRODUCE THE VIDEO.’ At which point we say, EXACTLY. Period. Dot. Bingo.

Here is what I’m going to do. I am observing liberals I know for actual arrestable offenses. For example a group of America-hating lefties who are some second cousins have a big Halloween party each year where much marijuana and hash are consumed. I am going to report these offenses to the Salt Lake City police. It will be a great pleasure to see these Obama loving filth carted off in handcuffs.

Progressive scum declared “war” on me. We’ll see just how tough they are.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think Freepland is about to send out a note, just like the teabaggers did.

33. Yeah, I've been trying to pry her away
from the intertubes in general. Sending her books and articles on taking a break from media for health reasons. Not good for anxiety. Problem is she lives on the other side of the country. I've never actually gone to that site. The anger is staggering. Hopefully this will turn off the more sane among them. Who wants to alienate their relatives over a difference of opinion? Maybe she didn't see that message.

7. With most "authority types" (law enforcement) being supportive of the tea baggers, relying
on official sources for protection is downright stupid.

If we truly want to protect "our" reps, there must be trustworthy protection and that will only come from private sources.

10. At the federal LEO level, a few firings of people who don't
actively follow orders to investigate and prosecute these crimes will go a long way toward compliance. On the local level...I don't know.

Don't throw out any weapon just because it is effective. I know that has been the Democrats' mantra - but it is merely stupid, not principled.

Any weapon in the war against the reich is legitimate.

Or would you rather lose?

26. I would say the jury is still out on who is losing/winning? I know that the concentration camp
in Cuba is still open; we are still killing civilians and others in our war against the Middle East; secrecy is still the MO of the government; big pharma, insurance corps, the banksters, Wall Street have been bailed out with trillions of our dollars; ACORN is shutting its doors because the Dems would not defend them; public education is under attack by the administration; gay Americans still have no rights; etc., etc., etc.

Though not the same as during Shrub's years, it does not look much like "winning" to me.

Oh wait - Lily Ledbetter did not get vetoed. You are correct. We are winning. ':sarcasm:'

25. Legality depends on who is doing the inciting or lying and what they are inciting
and lying about.

Looking for justice in the legal system is stupidly naive. Look to yourself and your ability to evaluate and act upon your conclusions.

18. Has the brother of Rep Perriello already been hit???
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8006734

Article link in the post above.

Washington (CNN) - Days after his address was posted online by a Virginia Tea Party activist, the FBI and local law enforcement officials are investigating a "suspicious incident" at the home of Rep. Tom Perriello's brother.

A line to the propane tank on his brother's gas grill had been "severed," an aide to the Democratic congressman told CNN.

"It was enough that he could smell the gas," the aide said.

The Albemarle County Fire Marshal's office confirmed they are investigating the incident - which took place in Ivy, Virginia - along with the FBI.

22. Call the FBI and demand they let these people know they're being watched
This kind of free for all that's beginning to manifest will dissipate when they know they're being watched. They're cowards and they egg each other on. Every time one breaks a window and gets away with it there are ten who are encouraged to act out.

What they don't know is that Sarah Palin will throw them under the bus if they're caught.

24. Freedom of Speech? Isn't it also responsible speech?
We hear freedom of speech but if one crys fire in a crowded building, isn't that beyond freedom of speech? I always understood that your freedom didn't give you the right to trample on the safety and freedoms of others without you being held responsible for it. Guess I am wrong since Palin, Beck, Limbaugh and others get away with crying fire in a crowded building.
