Why did we go to war in Iraq? I know you know.... |
|
I am so sick of these pundits who "pretend" not to know why we're there. Even Keith tonight (on his very excellent show) and Frank Rich, who was ripping chimp a new one, claimed not to know.
I know DUers know. Don't hold back.

5. I prefer that answer to oil. |
|
Oil seems to imply that the administration wants oil for the good of our country, for our economy, for our national security , or for some reason that will benefit everyone. But that's not it. They want profits to enrich themselves and their rich friends. End of story.

Oil is just the currency. What they are trying to buy is the WHOLE PLANET.
its not oil that is power, its SCARCITY and CONTROL of the dwindling oil reserves that is the means to their ends.
don't kid yourselves that its JUST the oil. They want IT ALL.
edited for hopefully greater clarity.

9. there was a coup going on... |
|
the busheviks/rightwing gop extremists were overthrowing the legally elected US gov nov7/00 and dec12/00 but the facts were too clear to be allowed into public arena w/out plenty of distraction-911 postponed the NORC results for a couple months, then flight 587 conveniently blew up the morning the NORC results were made public (but it wasn't terrism that caused the plane fulla people to crash/burn, it was just loose screws etc). What few people realize even now though was how committed the newsmedia became to bush after 911, and the Iraq war (hell, any war) became vital component in distracting the american people from fact bush never elected.... anyway, nevermind asking impertinent questions- we are sheep, foxnews etc is the shepherd
