OMG. Want to hear some of the threatening voicemails Stupak received?
:grr:

What is written below is nothing compared to the audio contained in the link.

http://www.americablog.com/2010/03/voice-mail-messages-pro-lifers-left-for.html

"Congressman Stupak, you baby-killing mother f***er... I hope you bleed out your a**, got cancer and die, you mother f***er," one man says in a message to Stupak.

"There are millions of people across the country who wish you ill," a woman says in a voicemail, "and all of those thoughts that are projected on you will materialize into something that's not very good for you."

CBS News also obtained copies of faxes sent to Stupak, which include racial epithets used in reference to President Obama and show pictures of nooses with Stupak's name.

Enough with the victim-blaming shit.

10. I bet there are a lot of congress people who are getting phone
calls and threats. Maybe not as violent but this just goes to show you the violent hateful character of these tea bags and radical republicans.

And they try to tell us they are not. I say each be taken seriously and if they can find them at least arrest them and cause them trouble. I think it is against the law to threaten people. And they have them on tape and written so it should be easy to find them.

31. For the record, I did not say nor implied that he DESERVED it. And I do not
deserve to be called "a fucking idiot" for it. What I meant was this: By his posing, he made himself a hero of the anti-abortion movement. They started to expect everything from him, and when he finally voted yes, they unleashed their anger at him (and others too). So again, had he voted yes from the beginning, they would not be as angry at him as they are now. Savvy? And I deserve an apology from you specifically.

35. You don't know when to quit, do you. I was talking specifically about Stupak because
the vitriol he got was especially magnified by the fact that he raised the hopes of the right-wing crowd of killing the bill, but ended up letting them down. He is unique in that respect, and you are unique in your stubborn blindness. Now I've told you the second time what I meant. I don't really care if you understand, so please just move on to another "fucking idiot" - this one isn't impressed by your intellect.

Edited on Wed Mar-24-10 06:17 PM by Tesha
He should be appreciative of them since he's, more-or-less, one of
them. He was willing to allow thousands of needless deaths a year to
support these folks so I have no real pity for him now. He's willing
to deny women basic reproductive rights to support these folks.

What's the phrase? "You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas."

38. The Republicans had no intnetion of voting for the health care bill
even if the Stupak language would have been inserted. Stupak called out the Republicans in his speech Sunday night on their efforts to use the Stupak-Pitts Amendment to scuttle the health care reform bill.

39. True, but completely irrelevant to the point I made.
Stupak was willing to hold all of us hostage to
support his anti-abortion position and his anti-
abortion constituents.

Stupak negotiated with the Dem leadership till he got the best deal he could. The Republicans made no effort to negotiate.

44. You may believe as you wish.
I believe that "Democrats" like Stupak are exactly
why people have no idea what the Democratic "brand"
represents because when "Democrats" are willing to
hold health care for all hostage to try (successfully, BTW)
to get anti-abortion actions written into law, then the claim
that "Democrats support choice" clearly isn't true.

As for the lady that says "ll of those thoughts that are projected on you will materialize into something that's not very good for you" that's completely untrue. I find those that wish ill on someone like this, are the ones that tend to have miserable lives. Karma.

What's even worse, is these people probably call themselves "Christians." There's nothing Christian about saying awful things and wishing for bad things to happen to another person.
