Teabaggers, literally egged on from the House itself by Republican representatives, are now nationally sending death threats to Democratic lawmakers, as well as perpetrating physical violence.

Republicans in a fit of peeve, are not allowing any business to go forth in the Senate after 2pm, which, as Claire Macaskill pointed out today, did not allow her to hold a hearing directly related to the training of Afghanistan police officers -- and I believe there was another general who had traveled from Korea to testify at another hearing, and had to be told the hearing was not to be held because of... what? A fit of GOP peevishness.

What does this do to our image abroad as those who travel here go back and report that the US government is in a state of complete chaos.

Seriously, is it hyperbole to say the GOP's behavior has now become a matter of national security?

edited for typo, and "House" corrected to "Senate"

1. Time for Repubs to cool off the self created crazies, before they
become responsible for more violence and the division of our country. If they continue this divisiveness for political gain they will gain nothing. Another not so smart move for those know for not so smart moves.

2. No hyperbole.
We'll see where this goes, how far until Dems (or courts) decide some affirmative action is necessary.

3. exactly!
when will the President use he Patriot Act against them...? There need to be arrests...there needs to be a PUBLIC smackdown of President Obama telling the GOP leaders to knock this shit off, and there needs to be some cracking down on the protesters, etc...their gun carrying, etc is not just crazy anymore it is just plain threatening and scary...

what I have seen in the last week is worse than the last couple years of escalation combined. It is to the boiling point, and I hope to god that the FBI isn't waiting for an actual act of murder to get serious.

Palin and McLame started this shit during the campaign, and it has only gotten worse.
disgusting...not about free speech at ALL.

5. There have been arrests. Just not getting much airplay.
Glenn Beck followers were arrested in House gallery on Sunday.
Some really threatening Facebook people have been questioned by FBI.

There is not much publicity and you have to google, but the authorities are reported to be taking
this thuggery seriously.

4. K&R -
Yes, I'm wondering what it will take for there to be a crackdown on this foolishness.

I trust that the Administration has already thought through the next moves. This looks to become a self fulfilling prophecy - FEMA Camps, Marital Law. All thought out by the puppet masters that control the ignorant.
