Silly me. What was I thinking? :silly: I don't know why in the world I thought that the Republicans might actually have SOMETHING *legitimate* to investigate him for but then again nearly all of their *investigations* of Bill Clinton ended up being little more than pure political harassment. Hell, they even managed to get one last investigation of the Clinton Administration in AFTER he left office!!! :banghead: I actually don't recall that any of the *scandals* other than the Monica Lewinsky affair (which was really an outgrowth of the Whitewater investigation) ended up going anywhere.

Having scores of frivolous Republican *investigations*/attempted impeachment (though I can't imagine for what even though the Republicans lowered the bar so far in regards to the Lewinsky affair) are the most important reasons IMHO for maintaining Democratic control of Congress.
