Threats are receiving major coverage on all networks
Coverage on the major networks has been impressive this morning, with actual voice recordings from answering machines, images of shattered windows, and last but not least, Palin's CROSS HAIRS map on Facebook. The story is the leading one on all three major networks.

1. I flipped over to Fox for a few minutes
Unfortunately - it's just a little tiny ticker tape. And that's where thier legions are.

7. Well, I guess it's gonna come as a shock to many of them
when the other networks start showing newsreel images of freeps/teabaggers/militia types being frog-marched to court. Maybe some of them will start wondering why their beloved FUX didn't keep them informed, seeing that the rest of the corporate media saw fit to give at least a smidgen of coverage.

over and over and over again.

She did NOTHING compared to what these evil people are trying to do to our country ---

4. This is good.
They need to keep playing those tapes so people can see that it's very real. For some stupid reason they don't want to take their word that these things have happened.

BTW, this has moved beyond just simple name-calling, MSM.

9. CBS Morning Show had a lengthy segment on it. Even showed The Twit's "RELOAD" target map.
But failed to take it to the next step and point out that the likes of Beck, Limbaugh, The Twit, et al are what is causing this.

11. Suddenly they want to distance themselves.
If it weren't so disgusting I would be laughing at the back pedaling by the MSM. I wonder if Sarah Palin will be smart enough to shut up for a day or two so she can distance herself from her base.

work extra hard to undo it. They've been feeding this stuff all along. An absoulute fiasco. Creating crisis in the middle of crisis. They damn well better be working hard to stop this lunacy.

13. They're gonna start digging for reports of republicans being threatened, I guarantee it.
First thing they'll pull up is the guy who tried to run over Katherine Harris. Then they'll start to make shit up just to confuse the situation so everyone thinks it's both sides. I hate the media.

Edited on Thu Mar-25-10 08:40 AM by get the red out
It would take the death of a couple of hundred innocent US citizens at the hands of these tea bagger/militia types (again) for the media to not try to dig up some poor liberal cussing someone out or such and say that's exactly the same as throwing rocks through campaign headquarters' windows, cutting propane lines, and threatening to murder the children of members of Congress.

All about "being fair" until some building is smoking and dead babies are being pulled out of the rubble, AGAIN.

26. Yup. By the end of next week, the Dems will be the bad guys
Repubs, with the help of the media, will have turned this around to the point where liberals were much worse during the Iraq war, and that they are now shamelessly using a few isolated incidents to gain a political advantage. It's already evident today, with teabagger organizers being invited to give their talking points and repub officials 'denouncing violence and rhetoric on both sides.

Try as I might, I cannot remember the left getting anywhere near as threatening during Bush's tenure. I definitely don't remember personal attacks on members of congress (except -vaguely- the KH incident).

24. I like Tell it to Tim
:) I like the levity in the morning. Plus, they do the weather often enough. Most of the time I'm over in the bathroom anyways and it's on in the background.

When I went to work later in the morning, I always liked how they had small bands that are playing in the area on at the end of the show. Oh and I like it when I catch Ed Wallace's car segment.

I used to watch MSNBC or Morning Joe in the morning, until that gas tanker fell off 183 one morning and I was stuck trying to get off at my exit off 183 for an hour and a half. Then I realized, I should probably watch a little local news before leaving to work. :)

Edited on Thu Mar-25-10 12:05 PM by Cetacea
His fables will now get equal time. Even if his story is true, he is only one person with one instance.

And this is the new journalism's idea of fair and balanced coverage.

29. I heard Fox New say
that he got shot at personally, or that's how they made the "breaking news" sound. I was not in control of that TV and when Fox was turned on I decided to leave the area I was in, but it certainly sounded like they were implying him personally getting shot at.

Showed a lot of broken glass at Dem offices - showed Sarah's map with the crosshair locations. I'm glad it's not being ignored. CNN is a pretty mainstream source.

32. While I don't trust the media's motives, I applaud shedding light on this.
I'm sure most of the networks are facinated because it's a story that gets good ratings so their motives suck as usual. However, in all honesty I believe the best way to stop this insanity is by shedding as much light on it as possible.

Like I said in a previous thread, if we think the hysteria over healthcare is bad, just wait until we get to immigration reform.

41. It is 99% Democrats receiving threats, but the M$M makes it look even up

The evening news, what little of I watched, seemed to be going out of their way to include Republicans as receiving threats also.

What a load of crap! That is such obvious bias toward the right wing Tbaggers I can't believe it.

The only thing I can figure is the big media does not want to be on the receiving end of what the pukes and Tbaggers are dishing out right now.

Cowards
