Fiorini and Campbell are in a statistical tie with Boxer. Let's hope that things change over the next few months.

Granted, Boxer always pulls it off, but this is a year that's potentially quite different than others. As for Vermont, the repuke, Brian Dubie is the lt gov and has more name recognition than the others, but Deb Markowitz is the AG- so she's not exactly unknown and Doug Racine is in the Senate and a former lt guv under Dean.

1. Boxer and Brown haven't really started to campaign yet

In California, being down this early on changes later in the year. Whitman's been the only visible candidate for Governor, that accounts for her poll numbers, she can't hold that leads for months. Boxer always starts down in the polls and rises up. And if Fiorina is her opponent, she'll have no problems.

2. For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone should want to send more GOP to Congress.
Has "teh stupid" truly reached epidemic proportions in this country? (Given what we're seeing out there, I guess that's actually a rhetorical question.)

6. here in CA, Whitman and Fiorina are already flooding the airwaves with ads
Boxer will bounce back, but I'm a little concerned about Jerry Brown. I donated a few bucks to him and his thank you email said he would reach across the aisle to work with Republicans. That's not what Democrats want to hear or want him to do.

We want Democrats to make Republicans their bitch and drink their milkshake.

Anything less makes a mockery of our democracy.
