Biden On Big F---ing Deal: Obama Loved It

Those four words spread to all corners of the media, and were even a hot topic in the next morning's presidential briefing.

"You know what the best thing about yesterday was?" Obama reportedly said on Wednesday. "Joe's comment."

Biden shot back, "If you thought it was so good, why didn't you say it?"

According to Biden, who recounted the exchange during a fundraiser later that day, the president tried to have a t-shirt made with the remark but wasn't able to get one in time. Delivery may have been the only problem, as custom t-shirt makers were already taking orders within minutes of Biden's open mic gaffe.

2. I love it! No apologies and no retractions!
This is exactly the way to deal with this particular incident.

4. They remind me of the odd couple, Felix and Oscar.
Obama is the pragmatic more serious one, Joe is the fun loving one. I think it works.

5. Mom and I were having a good laugh at that last night on the phone...
....the lame$tream media and GOOP can make a big deal of it but when they are out calling people "N*****" and spitting on them, they have little room talk about foul language.

Besides, Biden's was for a good cause. That's different. ;) And YES, GOOD on them for NOT apologizing for it. There's nothing for them to apologize for. The media and the GOOP can just stuff it, IMO.

7. As oppsed to Cheney's f-bombs which are only used in a negative way...I like it.
This described an incredible action...not a personal attack.

8. Here's a Big Media secret
You would be startled how many broadcast television "journalists", anchormen and anchorwomen, writers, producers and reporters are evangelical Christians. During the 1980's I saw them swarming into J School (the journalism college) at a major university I attended. Christian universities started adding "journalism" and "broadcast media" classes, departments and majors to their academic offerings during the 1980's as well. Most were funded by televangelist begging campaigns, and the preachers openly stated "your love gift will go to building schools where Christian men and women can study journalism and reporting, and bring the Gospel to the masses using television and newspapers," et cetera. One of the biggest is Regent, funded by Pat Robertson and TBN. In certain TV news markets in the South, anchors are publicly praised for, and mention on air, their affiliation with, singing and speaking performances at, and membership in, evangelical churches. Your Big Media is one of the largest, most powerful and most crowded branches of The Family in America. It's one big Christian Fundie PR mafia, well-greased, extremely well-funded, and intricately networked. And they all know each other.

If you've ever wondered about why our "media" seems so immature and adolescent, obsessed with prurient topics and sexuality, and points giggling with one hand over its mouth like a seven-year-old at Biden's use of a word every President since Washington has used - and why it is so complicit with the right wing, wonder no further.

It's just another reason Big Media must fall now.

There needs to be an inquiry into the collision and collusion of religion and media power in this country. I have no idea where to begin, because I'm not Christian, and if my tribe led the first inquiry, we'd be pogrommed (and that's no joke). A good idea however might be to legally declare the media property of the state in some manner, then investigate the problem as a violation of the separation between church and state. If our Congresscritters were to even barely lift the rotted damp log of Big Media to see what's really going on beneath it, extreme fundamentalist cockroaches would scuttle out in numbers sufficient to blacken a forest floor.

Love that picture, btw!
