The truth that Cantor and his ilk understand |
|
is that all the media is already reporting this "bullet through the window" incident and it doesn't really matter if it turns out to bullshit or not.
They have already positioned this headline to give them "see-they-are-doing-it-too" cover.
Even if it turns out to be a hoax, or as some have suggested, Cantor trying to take advantage of a shots fired report that happened to be near his offices, it doesn't matter. To the teabaggers and the other republicans they feel they are covered if some of their supporters are overzealous.
Of course, in the event it is proven false, it will only be trumpeted by those media and internet outlets that are already on our side. In the MSM, any such retractions will be buried or non-existent.

2. Someone needs to look for a police report |
|
There's a fairly good chance he's either made the whole thing up or there was a gun incident near his office that had nothing to do with him.

3. You would think Cantor would |
|
have brought a picture showing the bullet hole so the media could see it... heck an aide could have texted him a picture on his Iphone.... the aide probably hadn't gotten around to shooting a hole in the window yet, though?
