Eric Cantor blames Democrats for 'fanning flames' on threats.
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor blamed top Democrats for “fanning the flames” regarding threats to members of Congress — and says his office in Richmond was shot at earlier this week.

Cantor, a Virginia Republican, said the heads of the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee are using allegations of harassment and threats to Democrats nationwide for political purposes.

DNC Spokesman Brad Woodhouse said their response has been “entirely appropriate.”

“Instead of trying to distract from the issue with more attacks, we would ask Mr. Cantor and other Republicans to join Chairman Kaine in working to ratchet down the rhetoric, condemn deplorable behavior and disagree on these issues without being disagreeable,” Woodhouse wrote in an e-mailed response.

Both sides were doing it .... this is not a republican / right wing thing ..... those damn democrats
using those unprovoked attacks on them by those patriots who are just fighting for America's
freedoms. Besides "they" were forced into having to fight back.

BTW I never believed the ballon boy story, that W won in 2000 or 2004, or that Saddam was linked
to 9/11 so I don't buy Cantor's office being shot at story.

2. Va. State Police investigating.
Evidently, someone did shot into the air, and the bullet penetrated the office window in a downward direction. Sounds like a stray shot to me, sort of like the Lou Dobbs incident.

3. Good let the police investigate because if Cantor is lying they will ...
.... catch him up big time.

Interview the office staff separately about the time and how they noticed the bullet hole(s).

5. THEY (sort of) SHOT AT THE REAGAN BUILDING!!!
Cantor's office is in a small building several blocks from Capitol Square. It has several small offices in it. There are no Cantor signs on the doors or windows. Various Republican candidates have occupied the offices in the historic Reagan Building through the years, including former governor Jim Gilmore.
