Oh brilliant - let's allow the Cantor thing dominate the discourse.
It's all about Cantor now. We can fight about 'who's the biggest victim' :eyes:

That should stop the Democrats from rightly demanding Republicans condemn the threats and violence.

1. Just heard a taped call on Ratigan that had a man cursing an R and threatening.
So it really is happening on both sides.

And it's deplorable. And I really really wish it would stop because I'm afraid of what happens next.

4. If you can objectively consider a 95/5 split "both sides" then sure
For myself, I believe the preponderance of blame falls with and has been encouraged and perpetrated by the right-wing merchants of scum.

5. no he shouldn't dominate the discourse- it's the perfect opportunity
for us to lead by example-

To condemn any and all threats and acts of violence like this without any "buts".

We don't have to tell the Republicans what they should do without even having to think about it.

They won't listen to us, and neither will anyone if it's made into some kind of partisan issue.

Is it 'wrong' or not? There should be no need for a (R) or (D) behind the stand against it.

6. I welcome the coverage
Because the more this story is analyzed, the more the viewers find out that Cantor's tale is the weakest sauce ever. It was a stray bullet that wnet though the window of a direct mail marketing firm of which Cantor is one of many clients.

7. Well there's that. And hopefully THAT will work it's way into the media
and not continue the 'both sides' bullshit.
