A post for all Trolls and people shouting "Socialist"
ObamaCare – A moderate alternative of a Republican Plan March 25, 2010
Posted by Exploring the Natural Born Citizen Clause in Health Insurance Reform.

Few may remember that the Republicans in 1994, successfully opposed Clinton’s plans for Health Care Reform. Even fewer may remember that the Republicans themselves proposed an alternative Plan which is in many ways a more progressive form of the Health Insurance Reform bill passed in 2010.

A side by side of the 1993 Act: Health Equity and Access Reform Today Act of 1993 with the 2010 Act shows a remarkable overlap between the Republican plan and the Obama plan.

Which just goes to show how evil the Republican congress critters are.

2. That they're so far off re "socialism," yet so hostile/angry speaks volumes
I could see small groups protesting if this *were* actually "universal healthcare" reform, so to speak...but since our 'reform' is what it is, it shows how unhinged these types are - basically at the direction of who they deem their 'experts.'

3. Serious question for any one....
I have a friend who claims to be an Independent. This friend constantly uses the term "Obamacare" and I told her that she sounds like she's more of a Repuke than an Indie and she should quit watching so much Faux News.

Does any know if Independents actually toss around the phrase "Obamacare"?

5. Most so-called "independents" now are actually Repukes.
They're either too embarrassed to admit they're repukes, or they're trying to show you that "rational non-partisan" people side against you (which is also bullshit).

Either that, or they're deluded idiots who think that being registered independent, but voting only for Republicans on a national level still makes them "independent".

9. And you have ANY evidence for this?
Or is your terse statement supposed to be taken as gospel?

10. I'm not preaching any gospel, just offering my opinion.
I gave just as much evidence as you did.

12. My evidence - such as it is- is anecdotal
Every "independent" I've run into in the last 6 months actually voted for Bush twice, for McCain or Ron Paul in '08, and the older ones for Dole and Bush, Sr.

The R's have so polarized people in my community that all the previous "true independents" now consider themselves Democrats. I even know many Dems who were Repubs as little as 3 years ago.

13. Many in Florida changed from Dem to Independent to protect their vote
That's what I did when they stole from Al Gore and gave it to GW Bush back in 2000. Also all of my family members are GOP. They'd ask me why I am a registered Independent. I'd reply "I think for myself."

Bad thing about being a registered independent is not being able to vote in the primaries. I consider myself Progressive and Socialist just like Bernie Sanders. It's possible that some independents are actually repugs. I haven't met one so far.

6. Also, look at the Medicare something act of 2003
Passed by Republicans. It's just as socialist as anything else out there by expanding Medicare with govt $$$.

They think just because private insurance manages it that it isn't run by the govt. If the govt makes the rules and gives them money to expense the whole thing it's freaking socialist!!!

11. I think the Medicare act of 2003 is socialist - and the bill of 2009 is not.
