No Elected Democrats Ever Egged On Violence. No Liberals Are On TV Inciting On Violence- |

No liberal activists talk about bombing offices of the anti-abortion groups or KKK.
No liberal money bags funded an astroturf group of agitators like the Teabaggers.
That is all.

1. That's why when some in the media attempt to equate what is happening |
|
as even, you then know for sure who they work for, and it ain't us.

2. Needs to be said every time some jackass makes the "moral equivalency" argument. |
|
"But you guys were mean to Bush!" I can think of exactly one elected Democrat who came anywhere close to questioning the legitimacy of the Bush administration, and I can't think of any who called for violence against republicans.

3. There's a big difference, too, between "questioning legitimacy" |
|
and brick-throwings, bombings, and shootings.

because things they said way-back-when led to Lincoln's assassination.
I guess there's no statute of limitations on that moral equivalency thing.

5. Lincoln would not recognize the Republican Party of today. |
|
When Republican Missouri State Representative Bryan Stevenson refers to the "War Between the States" or "American Civil War" as the "War of Northern Aggression" and gets by without broad and loud Republican denunciation, they give up Lincoln. Lincoln was assassinated by people who thought this way and used similar terminology. As I remember Lincoln's Union did not fire the first shot a Fort Sumter.

7. I think that when democrats think of changing the country they usually look to |
|
Martin Luther King Jr. for inspiration. When the republicans talk of changing the country they usually look to the Revolutionary War for inspiration.

Along with many Dixiecrats. There are other examples going further back in our history.
Perhaps what you meant to say is that "no elected Democrats ever egged on violence recently:shrug:
Neither party is as pure as the driven snow, or as their partisans wish they were.
