And a bunch of pasty, old white guys couldn't stop them.

Change is more than a slogan.

25. That credit must be given ..
The operative anagram from HCR (Health Care Reform) is, as it damn well should be, HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton).

7. it isn't even insurance reform
the insurance corps are still exempt from the anti-trust laws and will still conspire to screw the citizens every chance they get.

11. As a pale assed Irishman
I have to say I concur with your observation. Things happen at the right time in history ... when the right human seizes the right moment and does the deed. In this particular case, the right humans were a bi-racial male and a white female.

And I for one am proud of 'em. People like that make ya proud to be part of the human race. Our species ain't all crap ... not by any means. We have climbed and clawed and scraped our way up out of savagery ... and while the savage is never far from us we have nonetheless come so far. Shall we not continue this journey initiated by our ancestors, Mr Scorpio? Perhaps you could spin us a tune or three to ease our way ...

16. Will you people stop saying we got "health care"? We got nothing of the kind. We got
some tinkering around the edges of insurance. Insurance is NOT ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE!

How thick do you have to be before you don't grasp this!? Am I insane, here?
