He wrote it for his beautiful daughter.

A man may fulfill the object of his existence by asking a question he cannot answer, and attempting a task he cannot achieve. - Oliver Wendell Holmes
About Me:
My daughter Cheyenne and I laugh, play, and learn together. She is almost 4. When I tell her she no, she smiles, then laughs at me... I turn my head so she can't see me laugh when I am supposed to be the strict daddy. I love her and care for her without questions asked, because she deserves it and because I want to. She is a part of me and I am a part of her.

I will be there for her when she needs help, and will protect her with everything within my god given power, even with my life if need be. I will not dictate to her, I will not preach to her. I will however teach her values and morals. I hope to give her things I could not have growing up, which wasn't much because my parents provided for me, no questions asked and they did a wonderful job for a spoiled little brat I was.

I will support my daughter in all that she does as long as she is happy and safe. If she is not happy or safe, then maybe I may one day preach... But for now, I will just be the best daddy I can be. No questions asked.

Now here is a follow-up story. Words fail me.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. —

The 3-year-old daughter of a former Oak Ridge resident and Anderson County paramedic died Sunday after apparently mistaking her stepfather's pistol for a Nintendo Wii controller and shooting herself.

Cheyenne Alexis was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival at University Medical Center in Lebanon, The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville reported. Her body was taken to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy Monday.

>>>snip
The girl's mother, Tina Ann Cronberger, was reportedly on the computer a few feet away from her daughter when the shooting occurred. The stepfather, Douglas Cronberger, was asleep when it happened. They live in the small community of Norene near Lebanon. Cheyenne attended preschool at Southside Elementary School in Lebanon.

The mother told investigators her daughter could have thought the gun was a controller for a Nintendo Wii. The sheriff's statement said the girl learned how to use a gun from playing a Wii game for days.

3. If you refuse to properly secure all your firearms and ammunition...
particularly in a house with toddlers you lack sufficient responsibility to own a gun.

6. The gun was just sitting on a table in the living room:
"Cheyenne Alexis McKeehan shot herself in the chest with a .380 calibre pistol after finding her stepfather's gun lying on a table in the living room of the family home in Norene, Tennessee."

4. I blame the parents more than the gun
it is unconscionable to allow a child access to a firearm

13. They are so incredibly close! Maybe the place to sue is Wii.
They should never have built a controller that looked like a gun.

Not excusing the stepfather and his gun here one iota, but that resemblance is too close for comfort.

9. I believe in some states that's criminal negligence of a sort.
You have a duty to keep loaded guns out of the reach of children.

14. The stepfather forgot to put the gun back in the cabinet after investigating a prowler.
:Douglas Cronberger, 32, the gun's owner, said he had forgotten he had left the gun out after he took it from its cabinet when he went to investigate a suspected prowler on Sunday evening.
He had already gone to bed, but Tina Ann Cronberger, the child's mother, was sitting only a few feet away using a computer when the accident happened, while her three-month-old brother was playing nearby."

15. So the father who wrote that was her actual father?
And not the stepfather who left the loaded gun out?
