is if a majority of the military would stand up and say "I'm gay" .. as a unity thing.. If the top brass thought they were about to lose a large % of their soldiers to this policy, it would go away very quickly.

EVERYONE loves that movie. It would be nice if that approach of solidarity were adopted more often, to support one another, rather than the me, me, me fearful approach that is the norm.
This is a great thought, glowing. I'd love to see something like that, too.
