Rock Photographer Jim Marshall has Died


Rock photographer Jim Marshall has died at the age of 74. Marshall was known for photographing rock and roll legends like the Beatles, Janis Joplin, and Bob Dylan. His cause of death was unknown.

Jim Marshall was the only photographer allowed backstage at what turned out to be the last Beatles concert at Candlestick Park in San Franciso in 1966.

Jim Marshall also photographed the Rolling Stones, the Greatful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, and Jefferson Airplane. His more recent subjects included the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ben Harper.

Jim Marshall was scheduled to appear at a New York reception today to promote his new book. After not showing up, he was found dead in his bed at his hotel. Jim Marhsall had died sometime during the night.
