24. Was this partially paid for by the Claire Boothe Luce society?
I read it was, and wondered just how much they contributed to it?

5. hmm
flight and hotel for one 700, support staff - at least five so $3,500, facility fee - at least $2,500 more likely closer to 10x. Vehicles, incidentals, easy another $2,500. WOO HOO, at best case $500 to split amongst the hate mongers.

12. Is that how much she paid them?
Man, them Canadians will sell themselves out for cheap. ;)

Then again, I guess they can afford to since they have things like national health care and stuff like that. They don't need to save their pennies for fear of being bankrupted by horrendous medical bills. Lucky bastards.

23. No, it's been Saturday for longer than I've been alive.
If she'd picked Saturday only the people pd. to set up chairs would have been her audience, plus her American sponsors and our own wannabe Beck / Coulter ...... take your pick (Levant), of course.

20. "It wasn't smart enough to be offensive," LOL
http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20100326/coulter_opinion_100327/20100327?hub=

"About 900 people showed up in conservative hotbed Calgary Thursday night to hear Coulter's speech, even after a week of endless media publicity. A mediocre band with a MySpace song and a lukewarm Pitchfork review can draw that.

Canada has overwhelmingly rejected provocative American media personalities such as Coulter or Glenn Beck. Levant, who many on the left considers Canada's preeminent loudmouth conservative, is nowhere near her level and has drawn support from both sides of the political spectrum in his battle against Canada's human rights commission.

Who else do we have like Coulter? Mike Duffy? Don Cherry? Puh-lease.

When University of Western Ontario student Fatima Al-Dhaher asked Coulter about her previous comments about Muslims taking flying carpets instead of airplanes, could she really expect an answer other than the juvenile and offensive "take a camel"?

Coulter, who commands a $10,000 speaking fee, has made herself wealthy by saying shocking things as loudly as possible. She, like Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh, have a financial incentive to be one-sided and avoid serious debate.

Perhaps a lesson can be found in the words of a Calgary woman who walked out of Coulter's speech in the city Thursday evening.

"It wasn't smart enough to be offensive," the middle-aged woman told CTV of the speech with a laugh."
