The corporate media is so conflicted and corrupt, it feels it always needs to present "both sides" of the story no matter if one side represents a true minority opinion and that its loaded with lies and misinformation. The rushpublicans know it and know that most of the beltway pundits are scared shit of riling up a right wing shitstorm and thus will "give them the benefit of the doubt" no matter how many times they're lied to. The beauty of "punditry"...you can always be wrong, never have to retract or appologize and can continue to spin and lie with impunity. No one dares to rock the boat.

Yep...it's the spin machine going full tilt here. The GOOP saw that the narrative was getting ugly on their side and tried to turn the tables. First there's the "both sides do it"...and when that meme wasn't working Cantor goes into victim mode...even, digustingly, playing the Jewish card to get the maximum sympathy. The rest of the right wing echo chamber quickly grabbed the meme and trying to make themselves the victims. It'll be interesting to see if folks like Keith, Rachel, Ed and David Shuster can't blow holes throw it throughout the day.
