It's going to get worse over the weekend

All the crazies will be drowning their sorrows with alcohol.... and anybody that's every been to a tailgate party can tell you that anger and alcohol are a bad mix.

Some right-wing wacko on a beer high is going to do something very stupid this weekend. Probably several right-wing wackos will.

Watch yourselves. Stay alert. Have 911 on speed dial. And use your cell phone cameras.

1. Yeah, I agree...
...all the crazies will be home from work...and the trouble will really start.

What a bunch of two year olds. Unfortunately, this group of toddlers has the ability to do a hell of a lot of harm to others.

2. Just like Gingrich and the party that likes to crow about "personal responsibility"
they will blame the Democrats for what they do.

3. Here's an insane incident that happened yesterday in Tennessee

Road rage, accident centers on Obama bumper sticker

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Nashville man says he and his 10-year-old daughter were victims of road rage Thursday afternoon, all because of a political bumper sticker on his car.

Mark Duren told News 2 the incident happened around 4:30p.m., while he was driving on Blair Boulevard, not far from Belmont University.

He said Harry Weisiger gave him the bird and rammed into his vehicle, after noticing an Obama-Biden sticker on his car bumper.

Duren had just picked up his 10-year-old daughter from school and had her in the car with him.

"He pointed at the back of my car," Duren said, "the bumper, flipped me off, one finger salute."

But it didn't end there.

Duren told News 2 that Weisiger honked his horn at him for awhile, as Duren stopped at a stop sign.

Once he started driving again, down Blair Boulevard, towards his home, he said, "I looked in the rear view mirror again, and this same SUV was speeding, flying up behind me, bumped me."

Duren said he applied his brake and the SUV smashed into the back of his car.

He then put his car in park to take care of the accident, but Weisiger started pushing the car using his SUV.

This is insane! Has this been posted preciously? If not, since I don't have enough posts to submit, someone go ahead and post it to the news if you would. This shit just shows how intolerable things are getting when the cons don't get their way.

6. I hope that guy is in jail
this absolutely is insane.

...and people act insulted when I say I do not want to live in the south (and Nashville is my hometown.)

7. I don't think he is in jail at the moment but he is charged
Police say Harry Weisiger is charged with felony reckless endangerment in the incident.

The irony of this is that if he is found guilty (and obviously he will be), he loses his voting rights! HAHA!

18. How about attempted murder?
I wonder, in Tennessee, what is the difference in the charge of felony reckless endangerment and attempted murder? Oh, and since the child was in the car too, perhaps a charge of endangering a child could be added?

10. I saw a minivan yesterday with a message scrawled on it
The back window said "Welcome to SOCIALIST America! Thanks to Obama. Vote Nov 2010."

I saw it when I got out of my car in the parking lot of Best Buy during my lunch break. The car was parked directly across from mine. I actually thought about moving my car because I wondered what the owner would do when they saw my Obama '08 sticker on my back window. I fully expected to come out of the store to find my tires slashed.

I don't advertise my religious or political leanings anywhere on my car, my person, or my home.

Well, except that I do have a Canadian flag on my home (as well as an American one and a Scots one for the hubby). But shit...what has Scotland or Canada done lately to piss anyone off?

Anway...I say "goody for you" to anyone who wants to advertise their politics with bumper stickers and such, as long as it's only themselves who might be put into potential danger from some nutbag. If they've got kids who might be riding around in the vehicle, that's a whole different story.

You just don't do that, and it's common sense.

4. Doubtful
Shit is simmering down. There might be someone doing something stupid but I doubt anyone gets hurt. Lets face it, old white people - as crazy as they may act, still don't want to go to prison or be labeled a terrorist.

They might beat each other up at a line dancing bar or something but that's probably the extent of it. These people have no real plan or network to do anything serious. They just want to scream and shout and act like fools in front of the cameras.

22. So they're all old white people?
It looks like they're a magnet to anyone with an axe to grind against the government. I can easily imagine skin heads doing this to incite their beloved race wars.

5. No kidding
Especially in the SE (outside of the major city cores), and anywhere that Palin's team painted a target. Congress critters that voted Aye and are going home for the break to be with their families, in particular.

The only potentially good thing is that it has been several days since HCR got through. If it had finished on a Friday, it would be worse, IMO. After a few days, at least some people have had some sober time to rationalize that they'll be able to get out of the socialism before it over takes them. For the impaired: :sarcasm: was inherent in that last sentence.

To the op's point, call 911 first, then use your cell phones cameras to document and send the photos to a friend that isn't present, in case something happens to your phone.

9. I wonder how many crazies are living on government checks ,,,
sitting home every day and turning on their radios for a daily dose of hate. Democrats in Washington have been extremely slow to recognize that Fox News and Hate Radio ARE the New Republicans. Without some sort of reconstructed fairness doctrine, or limits on what can be said over the public airwaves ... such as Savage talking about rounding up liberals into internment camps ... or deliberate lies being sanctioned as "news" -- this will continue. Wake Up FCC!

12. Ah, but they'll have their justifications, right?
I was reading the comments in Florida Today on an article about Suzanne Kosmas getting threats. I made a comment about how the Republicans are not denouncing or distancing themselves from the crazy, and that you never saw Democrats spitting on, calling racial or sexual slurs, threatening lives, or vandalizing property of elected Republicans. The right-wingers had to go as far back as the anectdotes of spitting on soldiers returning from Vietnam, the Weathermen, and Licoln's assassintation to justify that it's OK because it's been done by Democrats before.

29. Actually, bring it on
Hell, we all ought to be ecstatic that the teabag reign of terror will continue, because the more teabag violence there is, the harder it will be for the media to spin this as a "both sides do it" meme.

These fuckers are destroying their own movement, and taking the Republican Party down with them. Bring. It. On.

14. NPR is reporting teabaggers are going to see Harry this weekend in his hometown
Thousands of Tea Party activists are expected to descend on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's tiny hometown of Searchlight, Nev., on Saturday for an anti-Washington rally headlined by former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Scores of Republican candidates and elected officials — including Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons and those angling to challenge four-term Democrat Reid in the fall — plan to be on hand to work the crowd at the so-called "Showdown in Searchlight."

But amid growing reports of threats against House members and last weekend's Tea Party ugliness in Washington, D.C. — where some activists lobbed racist and anti-gay epithets at Democrats on their way to vote on health care legislation — the gathering has taken on a larger significance.

It promises to be an important moment not only for the Tea Party movement, which has been showing signs of turmoil over its future direction, but also for a national Republican Party yearning to harness the energy of Tea Partiers but wary of being linked with its more extreme adherents

Judging on their previous turn outs that were expected to be in thousands, I'd guess two hundred, tops.
