"...the importance and transformative impact of winning..."
A nugget of wisdom from TPM:

===

Non-Linear

It would be as foolish to say where things are going based on the last week as it was to make predictions on the same basis two or three weeks before. But I hope the current sense of turnabout (whether temporary or lasting) shows people once and for all the importance and transformative impact of winning. Big fights and wins don't deplete political capital; they create it.

1. I think this will be hard to take just on faith for a lot of folks
. . . who have convinced themselves that the celebrated gains are actually setbacks and folly. Those principled outlooks will likely not change.

What may well be transforming, though, will be the reactions of those who perceive or realize gains as a result of the legislation advanced; as well as our ability to present our Democratic party as able to deliver what they promised (to those who accept the results as a fulfillment of those promises; which comprises the majority of folks following this Health Act right now, I think).

3. Looks To Me That President Obama Is Reaching His Stride.....
Health care signed into law. Student loans overhaul. Just announced US/Russia Nuclear Agreement. Military easing DODT. Economy seemingly improving - he brought us from the brink of disaster.

I think he is comfortably setting into his presidency and I look for more great things to come as he serves out his term.
