It appears that there is a suspect in the shooting in the general vicinity of the Richmond Office of Virginia Representative Eric Cantor…

A preliminary investigation shows that a bullet was fired into the air and struck the window in a downward direction, landing on the floor about a foot from the window. The round struck with enough force to break the windowpane but did not penetrate the window blinds.

Based upon what is currently known of the incident, Richmond Police have put up an artist’s composite of the likely perpetrator of this dastardly act of gravity:

Cantor was hosting a rally or event nearby at a venue that does not allow firearms. Guess who did not get an invite and is pissed.

Apparently, the building in question isn't even in Cantor's district in Virginia. There are no signs in the windows to indicate that Cantor has an office in the building. The address isn't listed on Cantor's website. So there's no way a person, short of actually visiting the building, would likely know that Cantor had a part-time office in the building. The bullet pierced a window in another office entirely.

So, when Cantor claimed, "A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week," it has just about as much connection to reality as the Republican and Stupakian claim that the new health care law funds abortion. Which is to say, if you squint your eyes, turn your head to the right angle, the light is just so, you hold your mouth just right, and you've survived your second lobotomy, then, yeah, a "bullet" was "shot" "through" the "window" of Cantor's "campaign" "office" in "Richmond."
