Will the Democrats have the courage to make further changes if needed?? |
|
If employers start dropping employees from coverage or if insurance companies start increasing premiums by a huge amount, or if more people have problems seeing a doctor, or if the "reforms" do not work as intended, will the Democrats be willing to make further changes to correct the problems??
If the "mandate" does not work and is unacceptable, will the Democrats be willing to re-visit the issue?
Granted, there has not been time to evaluate the consequences of this vote but will Democrats be able to look at it with an unbiased eye once it takes full effect?
Do we really want to enshrine insurance companies as the sole provider of coverage to the American people, no matter what? Is this a betrayal to long-time Democratic principles? What can we expect in the future?

As Atrios would say "This has been another edition of Simple answers to Simple questions".
