1. It's Bill Donahue
He never met anything the Catholic Church ever did that he didn't support.

The catholic church is infallible in his view and he smacks down anything and anybody who disagrees with that.

In other words, he's a major league prick.

what a blowhard gasbag.

The RCC in its current form is a corrupt corporation, rotten from the top down. No one in the power positions believes an iota of the Gospels or the words of Jesus The Christ. After they dress up in their fancy garb and say their hocus pocus dominocus BS, they settle down to meetings that are more like to AIG or Citibank board meetings, than "two or more gathered in My Name".

The ONLY good thing in the RCC at this point are the American nuns, who are the only actors who have done anything decent or good in the name of the RCC, currently under threat from the Vatican.

The coffers are low and perhaps the good Sisters have some spare dough to plunder for paying off pedo lawsuits.

2. He's a real piece of work, isn't he?
Everytime there's anything negative about the Catholic church in the news, they trot out that mouth-breather.

4. He's their main gay basher as well
He's anti equality due to his faith, as are some others who should be ashamed to stand with this man.

Pope Forgives Molested Children

VATICAN CITY—Calling forgiveness "one of the highest virtues taught to us by Jesus," Pope John Paul II issued a papal decree Monday absolving priest-molested children of all sin.

On edit: It's an old parody but fitting..

9. He equates any and all criticism of the Church with attacks on Catholics for their beliefs.
Therefore, you can't say "The Church shouldn't let priests get away with molesting kids" or he will cry "Witch hunt!"

Jerk.

12. It's a fundamental church problem.
The church has a fundamental problem.

They believe that if you ask God for forgiveness, all is done that needs be done.

So when one of these molesting priests comes to light, he need only go to confession and promise to sin no more and he's on his merry way again.

These people have unhealthy sexual urges and just going to confession is not going to do work any magic to solve the root problem. The church needs to own up to that, but they won't, because they can't back down from their magical beliefs.
