John McCain vs JD Hayworth ? |
|
Which would be worse? Of course, John McCain did visit the scourge of Sarah Palin upon the country. He is pretending to be more right-wing than he probably is, in order to appeal to the crazy tea-baggers in his Party?
JD Hayworth is about as crazy as you can get and still permitted to walk the streets. He is certified.
So which would you choose if that were the only choice? Which would be worse for America?
The truth of the matter is that neither of them is deserving of a seat in the US Senate.

I'm hoping if McCain loses the primary the republicans would lose the general election.

3. I hope they tear each other new assholes in the primary and McCain comes out |

on top. Then in the general election he's finally sent packing (I know there's no chance in hell but....).

9. Well in the general election, how many parties do you expect will be running? |
|
I though my statement was pretty obvious but apparently not.

10. Maybe I should rephrase that to be more specific. |
|
Currently, there are two parties, but one of them, the Democratic Party, has failed to recruit a candidate capable of beating an entrenched incumbent in a general election. Recent talk of the Democratic Party trying to recruit Nan Walden notwithstanding, the current Democratic ballot for the 2010 Arizona Senate race includes only Tucson Vice Mayor Rodney Glassman, whose political fortunes outside that city are perhaps on the lighter side. And even with Walden on the ballot, the choice would come down to the incumbent versus a self-funded gazillionaire candidate, and those types rarely do too well.
That make a little more sense?

11. OK which is why I ended my post with (I know there's no chance in hell but....). |

It's just wishful thinking on my part. That's all.

13. I'm just upset the Dems did such a poor job with recruiting here. |
|
I think your wishful thinking could've been reality, if Hayworth beat McCain and the Dems had a hot candidate.

14. It's amazing that in so many years they've had to come up with someone. |
|
They're still running around clueless. This is the perfect opportunity to either take out a weak "teabagged" McCain. Or take out a crazy J (J stands for Jack Abramoff's bitch)D Hayworth.

4. My first thought is that it's a damn shame the Dems couldn't recruit a good candidate... |
|
because a center-left Democrat would wipe the floor with Hayworth.

But McCain is now in the same sphere of instability.
