Randi just played a clip of Victoria Jackson being a teabagger
It sounded like it was an SNL skit. It has to be. She's totally parodying teabaggers. Right?

5. I don't believe it.
It'd be like someone believing Stephen Colbert is a teabagger. Yeah, he says the words, but you can tell by the inflection in his voice that he's totally making fun of them.

I mean, I know teabaggers are dumb, but she was over-the-edge, so it has to be a joke.

15. And everyone thought it was just a persona she used on SNL

I've heard enough from her over the last few years to realize it was really her and not an act.

11. I've seen some posts saying maybe she's doing 'perforance art' a-la Andy Kaufman ...
If she is, she's doing a great job.

13. That's what I think. Or like Joachin Phoenix did on Letterman
I think Colbert ought to have her on his show.

17. "Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ" - Victoria Jackson
I don't want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti- Christ and I'm scared to death that un- educated people will ignorantly vote him into office.

You see, what bothers me most, besides being a Communist, and a racist (Obama writes in his book, From Dreams of My Father, "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and and animosity against my (white) mother's race.") (Obama's "religion" of the last 20 years is Black Liberation Theology. What is that? "It is simply Marxism dressed up in Christian rhetoric. But unlike traditional Marxism, Black Liberation Theology emphasizes race rather than class. It's leading theorist is James Cone who says Jesus was black, African-Americans are the chosen people, and whites are the devil. Cone says, "What we need is the destruction of whiteness, which is the source of human misery in the world." The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor), is that he is a LIAR. He pretends to be a Christian and he incriminates himself everytime he speaks about Christianity. To lie about being a believer in Christ is very dangerous. Lightning could strike him at any minute! But seriously, he doesn't have a clue what the Bible says and yet he pretends to be a church- going Christian to win votes. That is sooooo evil.

16. Believe it. She's no Colbert. Just ridiculously stupid.
I could certainly understand how you'd think it was all just an act, but it's not. Well, at least I'm 99.9% sure of that. I suppose there's a .1% chance that she's Andy Kaufmann pulling his final, greatest prank. :)

31. That's the clip Randi played
Although seeing her say it is a little scarier because her face looks like she's sincere, it's her voice that sounds ridiculous.

Look at this one quote. I mean, this alone, even written, looks like absolute total parody:

"I'm thrilled to get to meet Sarah Palin, because she's my hero. You know, we need people who are not politicians in political office. People who don't want power, people who are honest, people who don't take bribes, people who don't lie, and cheat, and are tax cheats."

Not politicians?? Like Sarah isn't a politician?
Doesn't want power???
Honest???
Doesn't take bribes???
Doesn't lie???
Doesn't cheat???
Isn't a tax cheat???

See, all of those things have been PROVEN about Palin! If you look at that list, it's exactly everything that has been said about Palin!!

6. Victoria Jackson's doing Burger King commercials these days.
It's not even a washed up celebrity commercial, like Ben Stein selling credit reports.

It's just Victoria Jackson doing a bit part like any other commercial actors.

27. I don't know, that's not familiar.
It's a couple of guys running through an office building horsing around and they finally tackle each other or something, right in front of a woman who's trying to use a vending machine and appears surprised at the horseplay. That woman is Victoria Jackson.

14. Victoria Jackson, Former SNL Star, Compares Obama To Hitler In Mad Rant
Former "Saturday Night Live" star Victoria Jackson posted an incoherent rant against President Obama on Andrew Breitbart's Big Hollywood website on Tuesday.

Taking aim at everything from health care reform to rock bands, Jackson's rambling diatribe describes Obama as a kind of wolf in sheep's clothing.

"You see, evil doesn't just show up. It disguises itself as something nice; so you'll let it in. It tricks you," she writes.

Jackson, an actress, singer and comedienne, was part of the same SNL cast as Dana Carvey, Dennis Miller and Phil Hartman. She also appeared on the VH1 weight loss show "Celebrity Fit Club" in 2005.

During the 2008 presidential election, Jackson came out against then-Senator Barack Obama, calling him everything from a racist to a communist.

In a particularly irrational appearance on "The O'Reilly Factor," she told O'Reilly that Obama reminds her of "Castro In Cuba, the guy in China." (Presumably Mao.)

21. Reading it is one thing. Listen to her speak it
Edited on Fri Mar-26-10 03:24 PM by Duer 157099
Until I heard the clip Randi played, I was completely ignorant of Jackson's political leanings, one way or the other. Hadn't read anything, nada.

But hearing the clip (not having heard the intro to know why it was being played), I heard an SNL clip. I heard Tina Fey mocking Sarah Palin. That's what I heard. There was not one millisecond where I thought that it *might* be serious. Not one.

So... I don't know what that says about me, or about Jackson.

It's possible that she has been involved with parody so much in her acting life that she honestly does not know the difference? That's the only explanation I can accept where she's really a teabagger but just doesn't know how to communicate except via parody, even if she is parodying herself?

I don't know, it's really got me confused.

Her airhead ways go way back to when she was on Saturday Night Live. She didn't have to act to play an airhead. Just read quotes from her in the book about Saturday Night Live.
