have offered the Cantor hoax as equivalent to attacks on Democrats. The only detail about those attacks has been that provided by Rachel. It does seem that the story is being stifled and/or presented deceptively.

The best thing, IMO, is to move on to new news. Keep an eye, keep the police, FBI and Secret Service on it but leave the media out.
We don't need aggrandize it. The media beast's hunger cannot be satisfied, ever. It won't be enough, they will want more.
