HCR Reconciliation Thread - Final Comment
I started these posts when I saw the letter and kept relatively good account of the signees and supporters, getting all but four correct (I said Baucus, Rockefeller and Lieberman would vote no. They didn't. I said Pryor would vote yes. He didn't). I even said Landreiu would support (she did).

As I wrote, I stated that I felt there was good political gamesmanship happening. Obama gave and gave to the the GOP until he could prove there was no bipartisanship, then railroaded the legislation through the House and Senate (after the meeting at Blair House). I was correct. I was torched for it.

Through the entire process, I was correct in my assessment. Now, let me say one more thing: THIS IS NOT OVER!!! We won a major battle, but the war is not over.

HCR that passed is a decent first step to universal coverage. Now, we pat ourselves on the back and gear up for their counter-offensive (suicidal as it is) and prepare for the second battle to EXPAND HCR into a public option!

The fight will get harder. Look at the violence this bill has engendered. Now, we keep it up and keep fighting. Words, actions, deeds. . .let them be violent. We become Ghandi's followers. Non-violence.

KEEP UP THE HEAT!!! AND PRIMARY THE DINOS WHO VOTED NO!!!

1. Why a Public/Private Option? That's a Repo idea, It was exactly what bush wanted
for Social Security.

Why not work for a Democratic Solution? Something like Medicare? For All, maybe?

4. How about we primary the DINOs that won't support single payer
or even a decent public option and shoved this insurance scam off on us?
