Biden: 'That's The American People, Man. We've Gotta Give Them Light'
Vice President Biden spoke at a DNC fundraiser in Texas today. From the pool report:

He told another story about a quarry swimming hole where as a boy he used to go diving from nearly 100 feet up a rock wall.

"The frightening part was you go down really far, I mean literally really far. So deep it's totally black. Your chest constricts, you panic and you don't know whether you're swimming down or up.

"But when you get about 12 to 14 feet from the top you see light and everything is OK. You're still 12 feet underwater, but it's OK. You see light."

"That's the American people, man. We've gotta give them light," VPOTUS said, strolling away from the podium, into the audience, and pointing with both hands toward a sun-lit skylight above the center of the room.

1. The fact that he frequently dived off a 100 foot wall as a kid tells me a lot about Biden
Brave as hell and just the right amount of crazy.

5. Sorry
Knowingly lying in media is perfectly legal now.

From this link:

Appellate Court Rules Media Can Legally Lie.
By Mike Gaddy. Published Feb. 28, 2003
On February 14, a Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. The court reversed the $425,000 jury verdict in favor of journalist Jane Akre who charged she was pressured by Fox Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false information. The ruling basically declares it is technically not against any law, rule, or regulation to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast. ...............

Just more erosion of our Democracy. How are we supposed to be informed citizens if we really don't know what is true and what is lies?

6. Treason
Edited on Sat Mar-27-10 09:16 AM by 90-percent
Treason is only against the law for the little people.

If Treason was truly against the law, then Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Addington, Libby, Yoo, and all the other Iraq War liars would be in prison now, wouldn't they?

Going to War on the basis of lies is about as treasonous as it gets, don't you think?

I bet a future Republican President could drop a nuke on San Francisco and get away with it, based on all the precedents Obama's inaction is sanctifying by his indifference on war crimes prosecutions.

WE ARE ALL MASS MURDERS NOW.
