It's the Attitude, Man! Screw the Truth!
The GOP have the truth standards of a high school pep rally. "The Panthers are a bunch of weenies! They all wear girls underwear! They stole our mascot! They had twelve players on the field the last time they beat us!"

That's the GOP's relationship to the truth. A flirt cheerleader goes to the mike and talks a bunch of trash. Man, no one cares whether it's true or not. It's the attitude, Man! It's the buzz, Bud! Get with the program!

Polls show that the GOPes think that the Panther's wear girls underwear, but they don't "really" think that. They just like saying they think it. It's not the validity; it's the validation.

1. I disagree, it started that way, but somewhere along the way,
They started to believe it. This can be illuminated in sociology experiments, that had single blind exps. that had the test subject in the middle of a panel. In short order, they would declare the sky green, just like the panel.

I meant this in reply to Gman2's comment...They don't really believe their crap, but they build up their attitude until they can act on it, true or not. The real nutcases don't know it's a show. The majority are prepared to act as if the crap is unrefuted/controversial...true enough to vote on anyway. A lie in service to their getting their way is not too much of a downside for them.

4. I agree.
The real wing nut followers are firmly convinced Obama is a Muslim commie set to destroy the nation. The leaders, controllers would be a better word, know better.
