There are a couple of decent brothels about an hour out of Vegas which would be much closer.

I know a fashion rant is lost on these people, but seriously, flag clothes are tacky...and most likely constructed by poor Chinese children. Sad, ridiculous, and tacky. Also, wearing this crap is an odd choice when protesting the government but whatever.

23. An observation
Edited on Sat Mar-27-10 12:51 PM by SOS
When United for Peace and Justice got half a million people to protest the Iraq invasion, there was no media coverage.
A search of the New York Times for the following day reveals a short article which focused on the traffic chaos.

On March 21, 2010, 250 brownshirts spit on black Representatives and hurled racist invective.
24/7 coverage.
On the same day, at the other end of the Mall, 20,000, mostly Latino protestors, rallied for immigration reform.
Obama addressed them on a Jumbotron TV.
Not one minute of coverage and no article in the Times.

The 24/7 coverage of these tea party idiots is corporate media propaganda.
When I see them on TV, even if it's on KO or RM, I change the channel.

26. it's there way of telling us we
are inconsequential. 2002 and 2003 anti-war protests were huge and the numbers were way under reported. Now they don't even bother anymore. The immigration reform protests last week? Barely mentioned and forget about the anti-war protests or what people are doing in D.C. right this minute! We aren't "real" Americans. We're just anti-American, socialist jerks who hate the Constitution.

Alas, these days, it is the way of the world.

They may be a 12-hour drive from Nevada's best little whorehouse, but I'll bet you 95% of them will overflow the nearest casinos. The 2 chicks with all the tea-loser buttons affixed to their clothing look like big time gamblers, and the Temecula folk probably stopped by for a change in casino scenery too.

Wicked and willful, the lot of them.

They latch onto symbols or 'buzzwords' ('Liberty' is a big on)
as catch-alls, but they have no idea the deeper meaning.

The STatue of Liberty? "Give me your tired and poor,
your huddled masses yearning to breath free.."
No to immigration.

And those guys who dress up in 18th century outfits,
but those were the clothing of the upper classes,
most of these folk at this site would be peasants
or indentured servants.

Why does the first picture remind me of a bad punchline

SO A COUPLE HUNDRED SENIORS ON SOCIAL SECURITY & MEDICARE JUMPED IN THEIR RV'S AND WENT INTO THE DESERT TO MEET SARAH PALIN AND PROTEST SOCIALISM.

Someone should run a counter "STRONG BREW TEA PARTY/GINSENG" "AMERICANS AGAINST ALL SOCIALISM" counter protest and demand social security and medicare also be repealed.
