It seemed to me that Palin has lost any political cred that she may have had
even among Rethugs and is now going strictly for political "humor" i.e. their version of Margaret Cho.

I swear she was doing "shtick" with the screechie voice and the faces and gyrations. Even those on the right can't seriously buy that act.

4. I think the GOP is confused about what to do with Palin....
They overestimate her influence (and the influence of those who like her), so they can't bring themselves to jettison her from the ranks.

You're right: Palin is essentially Conservative shtick at this point.

5. I wish that were the case, but judging by the turnout everywhere sher goes, it isn't.
This is the problem . Democrats keep underestimating the ability of stupid folks to vote and get organized and be manipulated by others.

smack her across the back of the head yesterday. You know he's ready to chew his tongue off. How much humiliation is he willing to take?

13. McCain will do anything to keep his Senate seat
After the 2000 Bush/Rove attack on his family and his mental stability, he later kissed their ass.
His ability to sell out has no limits.

10. What is this "cred" (with regard to her) of which you speak?!1 & That's actually a series
question. WHEN did she have cred BEFORE?!1 Her campaign performance and the campaign's own staff flunked her.

But it's true, as the O.P. says that right now she is being said to HAVE cred. The media's story of the day is that "her fortunes have gone up while Mc5PLANE's have gone down---what a difference a year makes!1"

12. She's never had credibility with me
And she doesn't now.

But I read newspapers, magazines, books, the internet. I travel to foreign countries. I speak languages other than my native tongue of English. I love the French. :-) And I drink champagne. I'm one of those 'hopey changey' liberals that see her for the nothing windbag she is.

But her followers? They are the ignorant. And they fall for her b.s. hook, line, and sinker.

21. Rushpuclicans NEVER lose their politial cred thanks to the RW Lie Machine/Corporate M$M fusion
Bill Bennett dropped $7 million in Vegas, but he still gets to lecture and write on Corporate M$M about morality.

Vitter had a prostitute diaper him for years, yet got a standing ovation in the Senate and local sympathetic Bushie Law Enforcement types made sure he didn't have to testify at the trial.

22. She wanted money and attention - and we gave it to her.
Conservatives gave her a bunch of money, and liberals give her tons of attention.

It reminds me of that scene from Private Parts. I'm paraphrasing, but when asked about Howard Stern's ratings, a guy with the numbers goes "The average Stern fan listened for 45 minutes a day. The average Stern hater listened for two and a half hour a day."

I almost never hear about Palin from conservative friends and family, but man, DU and my liberal friends make sure I know what she's doing Every. Second. Of. The. Day.

She won. She got exactly what she wanted. I'm just waiting for us to catch on and stop giving it to her.

vs. political clout (the growing farce of T-Baggers) this a.m.

My intestines immediately seized up. Thanks a lot.
