The Crowds!! WOW WOW..The CROWDS!!!
Ha..ha..ha.. The Teaparty thing in Nevada was billed as 30,000 or at least 10,000 would be coming. For christ sakes we have more people than that show up for a Little League baseball game in my community!! In fact, look at the McCain/Palin pathetic events over two days.

At the first one, they had to rope an area to draw the crowd closer to the stage to make it look like they had anybody there. And, today's McCain rally was about the capacity of a gym floor with folding chairs! Here's what really pisses me off:

Palin IS NOT drawing the crowds the media wants us to believe NOR is the Teaparty. In fact in DC, the crowd in front of the Capitol during HCR vote was pathetic. Not one of the goddamn media will admit to how lame this has all become. They want us to believe that at least as many people as saw Obama take the oath of office are swarming to these events. So, if you can get 100 ignorant morAns to stop on a street corner and listen to you, please call Fox or CNN, etc. and you, too, can become known as "a great political force". What a farce!

2. I'd love to have an accurate crowd count.
If its a thousand or less - then these baggers have had their day.

3. Most of their "crowds" are sitting around the TV in the Day Room,
waiting for Bingo.

4. this is why we need a liberal in charge of a major media outlet.
this is FAR more important than winning any intellectual argument.

sadly, the time for debate has passed. it takes two parties agreeing to play by the rules for that to work.

we need a bigger microphone.

5. I heard crowd estimates of about 8000...
not a bad size, but still nothing that I would call great. I've seen protests of thousands upon thousands converging on DC. No way in hell the teabagging crowd can even come close to that.

How many stupid people showed up in the desert without any water or porta potties. All of the 798 people who live in Searchlight are laughing their asses off tonight.

it would make a major impact.

6. The thing is the media keeps building this bunch of trash up
they want to cause trouble. They must want someone to be assassinated. It makes good stories. wouldn't it be nice if the media was sent running around not know when they would be spit on and cursed at.

9. Palin was charging $500 a ticket to hear her speak just a month ago
Now they got it for free and 8000 showed up? Sometimes even a 'sale' is not worth the effort.

12. Yup, it is the Jerry Springer Show on a slighltly larger scale.
I sometimes wonder which party will be the first to get a stripper pole. So far, the Repugs are way out front on that one.

It is what sells.

And, that undefinable "It" is what drives elections in America these days, for better or for worse.

15. Yep. It's all manufactured and trumped.
Basically they threw some shit up against a wall, hoping something would stick!
So far, not much, considering how much was thrown.

21. That's my nephew....who now will be able to get Insurance Coverage,
when he couldn't before...because he was diagnosed with Cancer at age 18 months.
He is now free and clear of it for the past 5 years, but was uninsurable up
to this point.

25. What a story! Glad he is doing well. My grandson was rejected for
private insurance a while back because he wore glasses! He was only 3 years old...then I saw that Bush vetoed S-Chip, which my grandson could have used. You can imagine my outrage...it was PERSONAL and visceral with me, as you can imagine...

17. They are like Deadheads...
...a sort of portable studio audience that Fox News uses to televise the Palin show "before a live audience." Palin gets up, forms her lips into an "O" and makes that mommy face that makes babies smile. And they all do. Over and over and over and over...they never tire of it.

24. No They Are Not Like Dead Heads
Dead Heads are way too mellow!!!!

For Instance:

If Dead Heads came upon the poor guy with MS that the tea baggers were mocking so viciously, the Dead Heads would have sat on the ground with the guy and smoked him out.
