Operation TIPS alive and well, Bush is recruiting neighbors/stalkers to harass citizens
Edited on Wed May-02-07 08:11 AM by shance
This article is a couple of years old, however with the apparent growing number of activists and citizens being stalked and intimidated by Bush's 'organized harassment team', I thought it relevant to post now.

Helping Big Brother: Reporting on Your Neighbors
by John W. Whitehead

Since the police cannot be everywhere, neighbors, friends and associates are enlisted to report violations to the police—something we see happening in present-day America.

This is a real concern since our government has a near paranoia about dissenting citizens. “The Administration and campaign of George W. Bush,” writes former Congressman Bob Barr (R-Ga.), “is squelching any possible hint of disagreement or protest at every political rally or gathering.” For example, people with t-shirts that hint at disagreement are not allowed anywhere near the events or even on the route traveled by the presidential motorcade.

But now things have gone even further, and the Secret Service has become active in ferreting out possible troublemakers.

“In the last few months, evidence has been mounting that special agents are showing up at the homes and offices of potential protesters,” writes Barr, “casting suspicion upon them in front of bosses, colleagues, family, friends and neighbors. During these visits, the special agents ‘interview’ the potential protesters to determine if they—or anyone they know—might be planning any political demonstrations.” And, “The final question the FBI agents ask is this: Does the interviewee know that withholding information on whether they know anyone else who might be planning a demonstration or ‘disruption’ is itself a crime?”

The key element is enlisting private citizens to inform on their friends and neighbors. Sadly, there are many who are now getting in the spirit and are all too willing to inform on fellow citizens to the police.

Take retired phone worker Barry Reingold, for example. After criticizing the war in Afghanistan in the locker room of his health club, some fellow members called the FBI. A few days later, Reingold had some unexpected visitors.

Reingold, age 60, heard a knock on his door. “I said, you know, ‘Who’s there?’ And they said, ‘It’s the FBI,’” said Reingold. The two agents wanted to know more about his locker room outburst. “Someone’s reported to us that you’ve been talking about what happened on 9/11 and terrorism and oil and Afghanistan,” Reingold said the agents told him.

Concerning this incident, as CBS reports, “The FBI insists agents do not interview people because of their political views. But since 9/11, the agency says it needs to cast a wider net than ever in its search for information.”

Derek Kjar found himself tangled in the net when he said that he did not intend to harm President Bush with anything more than a vote for John Kerry in November. Just to be sure, though, agents from the Secret Service paid Kjar a visit, telling him that his neighbors had alerted them to a potentially threatening bumper sticker on his car.

The sticker, which can be found on a number of websites, features a black-and-white likeness of Bush with a crown tilted slightly on his head. Under the image are the words “KING GEORGE – OFF WITH HIS HEAD”—a reference to the infamous King George of colonial days.

This message, of course, is pure political speech, which is protected by the U.S. Constitution and, thus, would never qualify as a true threat under the law. But Kjar didn’t know that. Kjar said the agent he contacted in response to a cryptic message left on his voice mail would not even say why he wanted to talk—only that he wanted to meet Thursday morning.

That’s when Kjar began to cry. “I didn’t know what was going on,” he told the Salt Lake Tribune. “It made me so nervous.”

Kjar said two agents visited him at his job at a dry cleaning service, where they asked him if he had any ties to terrorist groups or enjoyed reading historical accounts of assassinations. They also asked Kjar about his friends and family and even wanted to know how he paid his monthly rent.

The agents finally left after Kjar gave them the sticker. Kjar said he feared the agents were going to “take me away.”

1. Organized Harrassment Team?
I got the impression that as pernicious as this program was, it was not organized. Just encouraged.

2. Of course that's the impression they want you to have. Then you don't have to worry about what's
happening behind the curtain, until of course it's too late to do anything about it.

3. Do you have any evidence to support your allegation?
Follow up question, are you already sure i'm a dishonest bastard for even asking for evidence?

4. The new Cointelpro - organized and/or gang stalking
Edited on Wed May-02-07 09:09 AM by shance
If it is happening to you, you're not crazy.

You are however probably speaking out against this Administration and being successful at it and that is why they are harassing and targeting you.

Speak up and speak out about it.

They are the ones breaking the law, not you.

What is organized or "gang stalking"?

Gang stalking is a modern day form of the Cointelpro program, that ran in the United States and in other countries under different names.

Eg. In Canada it was called V.I.P.S.

It's also a part of the New Community Based Policing efforts combined with the reemergence of Police Red Squads, which have been in existence on and off for close to a hundred years.

The new forms of these programs combines the organized stalking and mobbing of the targets of these programs that take place primarily in the targets community.

What will happen is that files will be opened on targets of these harassment programs, and the State or officials of the State, such as the FBI, CIA, RCMP, CSIS, or local police will go around and tell the friend, family, co-workers, landlords, and community of the targeted individual at large is under investigation.

They will say that the target is a terrorist, crazy, drug dealer, someone who needs to be watched. They will ask for, or in many cases force the corporation of the targeted individual till the target becomes increasingly more cut off from their sources of support, making it easier to harass and psychologically harm them over time.

" The new versions of these programs use the community based policing programs to help with the stalking and monitoring of the targeted individual, that is why the target will complain of being followed around in public by strangers they do not know. They are being followed around by the new eyes and ears of the state, their fellow citizens who for various reasons have decided to become informants for the state. This is happening in many democratic countries and cities.

Other names for Gangstalking

There are many names for this form of harassment, it would also now seem that Gang Stalking is a term that was invented as part of the disinformation campaign that the government is good at putting together while these harassment campaigns are running.

Some of the more popular names for this form of harassment have been Cointelpro, Red Squads, and now with the new community based policing programs we have names coming up such as: Multi stalking, vengeance stalking, cause stalking, stalking by proxy, organised stalking, organised harassment, group stalking, community mobbing. These are the new names being given to a very old game, that is once again being played by the government on it's unsuspecting citizens.

Who gets targeted?

Gang stalking can happen to anyone, but it's being widely used on minorities, outspoken individuals, whistle blowers, dissidents, people who go up against large wealthy corporations, woman's groups, (single) women, anti-war proponents, and other innocent individuals. The majority of the targets are not aware this is happening to them and it continues for years. Even when a target moves, changes jobs, the harassment still continues. Every time the target moves, the government, or the local intelligence unit of the police will follow them around and start to spread the same lies, and slander to their new employers, coworkers, landlords, etc.

What are the goals of this campaign?

The goal is to isolate the target from all forms of support, so that the target can be set up in the future for arrest, institutionalisation, or forced suicide.

Other goals of this harassment include sensitize the target to every day stimuli's as a form of control. These people also want to make the targets of this harassment vulnerable, they want to make them destitute. The secondary goals seem to be to make the target homeless, jobless, give them a breakdown, and the primary goals seems to be to drive the target to forced suicide, just like what they did with some of the targets of Cointelpro.

11. Absolutely.
In fact it's easier to engage in organized harassment/stalking via internet because a perpetrator can hide behind the computer screen and a fake identity.

Hope that helps.

6. "Kjar said he feared the agents were going to “take me away.”"... He was right.
They could take him, me or you or any of us away. They could take us away, hide us, torture us. Our loved one's wouldn't even know.

Amerikkka.

10. Not unless we are isolated and disconnected - that is what allows them to inflict harm.
Get to know your neighbors, friends and talk about what's going on.

ENGAGE.

Send the information of Bush's neighborhood spying and organized harassment information to friends and family - information is power.

If we know what to expect, then we know what to look for.
