If someone I don't care for is sick or dies |
|
I simply stay out of those threads. I feel like a hypocrite wishing them well, and I feel slimy wishing them ill. It's a simple solution.

I had to chuckle when I read the subject line of your thread. Knew exactly who it was about. I had made the same decision only minutes earlier.

2. I'll be the slimebag to pick up the slack. |

Sorry, when George W Bush or Dick Cheney fall ill and finally die (which looks to be about 30 years from now), I'll be grinning because they'll be frying. My mourning is for their victims, living or dead.
I mean, what's the message here, "Be Dishonest"?

5. I suppose you could, if you so wish, call it dishonesty |

I certainly did have discretion is the better part of valor drummed into me. I rebelled heartily against it, but now I understand why it's not a bad way to approach these things.

I already have the money set aside for a plane ticket for when Fred Phelps dies, so I can fly to Kansas and take a shit on his grave.

14. Where does one draw the line, then? |
|
Consider everyone's favorite example of evil: Adolf Hitler. When word reached the rest of the world that he was dead, surely millions of people cheered. Where they wrong to do so? Should they have said nothing?
How much lower on the scale of evil than Hitler does the dead person have to be before it becomes wrong to cheer?

16. the line is obvious to some. what is the need to cheer. gone. is simply that. no more |
|
that doesnt mean one cant express the ins and outs of the situation. repercussions of actions or death
but cheer?
it is a whole other action
where is the need
