So now they're trying to "help" the uninsured |

Watching Rob McKenna (WA state AG) on a PBS interview right now, kvetching about the unconstitutionality of the HCR bill. His lawsuit against the bill is supposedly watching out for the interests of those who don't want to buy insurance, which is all well and good, but it seems like more of a teabagger alignment, correct? And how many of these teabaggers have no insurance and will be forced to buy the gubmint stuff? Probably very few. Just wonder who he is really representing.
Plus, why are they suddenly so much on the side of the uninsured-before they could eff off and die, now suddenly their rights are being trod upon, so unfair. Now the knights are coming out. spare me.

I agree this insurance reform bill is a very far cry from what it should be. Nevertheless, the argument that he's "watching out for the interests of those who don't want to buy insurance" is pure teabaggery. Nobody wants to buy insurance. But if nobody buys it (until they get sick, of course,) it can't work. That's the way insurance works -- pooled risk, pooled premiums.
This is all about obama and his, um, being "different." Pure teabaggery. I hope the largely democratic legislature has the courage to put his department to sleep. No AG is better than a loose-cannon teabagger AG.

3. It's a bogus claim... they won't win... |
|
...something to do with Interstate Commerce.
Worst case scenario... if they did win... meaning if somehow it made it's way to the Supreme Court & got a 5-4 vote...
There's something in the Law that says if one part of the law is found unconstitutional (in this case, the mandate), it won't affect the rest of the Law. HCR is here to stay... and will keep getting better!

4. oh, won't the teabaggists love them then! |

because without the mandatory purchasing wouldn't the revenue have to be found elsewhere to make up for the loss, such as, Dear God, higher taxes?
