I become more and more frightened about how close Sarah Palin came to the WH.
It is obvious that she is mentally ill. She is clear that she suffering from Narcissistic personality disorder and some other shit.

If you guys aren't concerned that she has managed to get and keep followers you are nucking futz because she is going to use the money from her show to try and launch an bid for President.

I'm hoping she'll get sidelined by the influx of all the dough and her followers begin see her for the money grubbing attention hound that she is and kick her to the curb. A money grubber is the only thing that will get her followers to kick her to the curb because they'll never see her mental illness because I bet they are suffering from Narcissistic personality disorder as well.

Seriously folks, this is getting quite scary, she is the first openly mentally ill person to really get the cult of personality to this level in the US. She has that "hitleresque" hypnosis effect on her followers and it will only get worse before it gets better.

I do not see this ending well at all.

1. Never, never, never underestimate your enemy...a lesson learned
the hard way so many times.
Perhaps the the most glaring example of underestimating the evil of the enemy was learned by another evil person.
... Mr. Joesph Stalin..who somehow believed that Hitler would keep his word about a "non aggression pact"
.... 20 - 30 million lost their lives because of that particular "mistake"

While Palin is indeed clownish, stupid and mentally il, don't underestimate her till she is completely off the political scene. I too believe she probably is "nothing" but I am still afraid..and will be..

shit right in your front yard.

Americans killing Americans. So instead of far and distant places it will be far and distant places and @ your front porch.

DUers have a one track mind where W was concerned. With Palin @ the helm Bush will look like a little school boy in knickers kickin a can to the park.

58. STALIN was afraid of public speaking because of his voice & accent.
Stalin's voice revealed that he was a "hillbilly" from Georgia (the equivalent of Alaska) and thus he became mocked, a figure of ridicule.

Likewise, Hitler and the NSDAP were ridiculed as buffoons by the Weimar Republic intelligensia & artists of the 1920s.

The joke is on DUers.

13. That is because you are intelligent. The people who aren't so intelligent
are the ones who love her. The problem is that if anyone on the right has a bit of intelligence they are afraid of her as well but they are more afraid if they don't bow to her so they can garner the batshit crazy vote.

The fact that you don't get her is totally immaterial. The material part of this is that there are people who do.

She quit her office.

SECOND,

The MSM carried her bullshit LIVE. What other campaign rally for a senator have they covered? Hell, they barely cover what the current President of the United States has to say live.

That crazy ass loon is getting free air time to spread her nonsense far and wide. The fact that the media is covering it gives her followers some sort of false sense of credibility in the madness she spews.

Edited on Sun Mar-28-10 08:16 PM by pinboy3niner
. . . which will be sort of a travelogue with her touring AK by chopper, according to The Daily Beast. However, some are not optimistic about the show's chances for success. The pertinent excerpt (ending with a quote that is priceless):

" . . . the show's premise may be inherently flawed. According to one programming source, other shows with the upper reaches of North America as a backdrop, such as Ice Road Truckers or Deadliest Catch, work because there's a sense of adventure and jeopardy baked into them-people's lives are at risk in these shows. Last month, for example, Captain Phil Harris, who starred on Deadliest Catch, died of a stroke while helping unload crabs.

"'Palin isn't going to be in any danger at all,' says this source, with a touch of sadness."

The concept that a woman with almost NO credible experience in anything- who takes a job as a pundit on Fox, is going to have her own "reality show" and who campaigns with John Mccain dressed as a dominatrix or some kind of weird biker babe having ANY hope of going on to become president SHOULD be even too out-there for even a SNL skit, but it just could happen- given the kind of crazy we are living today.

I just do not see her ever reaching the White House. She would have to be interviewed many more times than she was in 2008 if she ever made it past the primaries (which I doubt), and she would likely have to have more than one debate. Can you just imagine a debate between Palin and Obama? There is no way she would be able to study that much - she is still just as uninformed as she was in 2008. She talks in sound bites and bumper stickers - there is NOTHING of substance there. I mean, I know America is lousy with morons, but do you really think she would ever get more than 30-35% of the vote?

On top of that, I think the reality show thing will work against, not for her. Reality shows are usually the last stop in one's career - Rod Blogojevich, Anna Nicole, Jessica Simpson, etc.

Also.

I just don't see Palin having enough 'fans' to win her the White House. Teh stupid is bound to come out in a big way should she actually run for President. The b*#@& doesn't even know the difference between North and South Korea. She thinks Africa is a country, and not a continent. Shit like that. It will all come out during interviews and debates. She will not be able to hide from hard-hitting interviews like she did when Gramps was protecting her.

Palin does not really give a rats ass about anything but MONEY.

I'm not discounting her hypnotic effect on her mentally defective followers but she wants the financial rewards that come with notoriety, not the responsibility that comes with political office.

Sure there are a lot of dumshits that would vote for her for president (not enough to win IMO) but she ain't interested in anything but making a ton of dough which she can't do in the WH.

get her kicked to the curb is if her supporters see her as a money grubber or something to that effect.

Anyways...What she cares about is being a rock star and money. She is mentally ill and she'll want more and more attention...
That is where convincing herself of her own self importance comes in and I think she'll run because of the mental illness.

That is why I think we need to be careful and not underestimate her because she is mentally ill and she'll want more and more and she'll ride that train to the dead last stop.

50. Nominated in September, expired in October
Candidate Palin has an extremely abbreviated shelf life. There is no way she will be able to get into the give-and-take of a nomination free-for-all among the Republicans. And if she somehow survives to be their nominee, President Obama will carve her up into moose bite-size pieces and feed her to Bo.

There are many things to be frightened of or worried about. Sarah Palin should be far down anyone's list.

60. I can't see her
making it past the primaries. I don't really know of a repub that is fit to run. I think that a lot of republican voters will just stay home on election day rather than chose between a Democrat and a weak republican nominee.

61. I can see this scenario....
We're watching the Republican party splinter like the Whigs in the 1850's.

The country club Republicans and uber-wealthy are still with the main party. The religious right has more or less stuck with them (for now).

They've lost the batshit crazies, the birthers, the Libertarians, the militias, the anti-Christ crowd. This group isn't huge but it's big enough that they *must* carry a healthy percentage of them in 2012. This means they need to nominate someone who can carry both groups in the next presidential.

Because they need the NutBags, a mainstream GOP candidate will never make it in the primaries. Scratch Romney, who was probably one of their stronger candidates especially if employment continues to be weak into 2012. Scratch Jindal - the NutBags are racist. Unless Pawlenty suddenly becomes a man of the people and starts ranting and raving he'll never make it.

It's going to be a hell of a fight between the two camps to carry the Republican banner. And since none of the candidates will be acceptable to the other side - mainstream Republicans will never accept Palin - I'm expecting a three-way race in 2012 that will allow Obama to cruise to victory without breaking a sweat. Sarah Palin will never make it to the White House, but I expect she'll play a part in handing it to Obama for a second term.

And remember, the more the right-wing nutcases attacked Bill Clinton, the more support he had in the country. They overreached then and they're waaaaay overreaching now. Their hysteria is just going to continue strengthening not only Obama but the Democratic party. These people are truly frightening the middle.

64. The republican base will not tolerate anyone but her on the ticket for president. They will
go nuts at the convention.

68. I dunno - she has her true believers, but I think that she scares a lot of people on the right too
My grandpa voted for Obama, and he was right in the core McCain demographic, a white, 85-year-old WWII vet from Colorado who never voted for a Democrat for president in his life (and who during the early primaries was constantly forwarding those stupid "Obama is a Muslim" chain emails).
