Media plus Court Room re the militia round ups of the weekend.
Edited on Sun Mar-28-10 10:57 PM by peacetalksforall
I've been really turned off by all the round ups and arrests of immigrants in the last ten years since the hate rhetoric was ratcheted up for Mexicans and Moslems. (Mexican = a single shortcut for people who disdain Mexican, Central and South American Latinos plus Haitians without knowing geography or differences between them). I can't figure out who the branches of gevernment are really after and why the corporstions are free of any blame.

I've been turned off when there has been some Homeland Security round-up with arrests has made a big deal of saving the country in the manner that might have been directed by Mr Drama - Dick Cheney.

Somehow, I think the courtroom scene tomorrow is going to be a little bit of a bigger deal than some of the terrorism arrests of the past 12 years. I always doubted the truthfulness of what I heard during the Cheney-Bush administration.

One of the puzzling side points from this weekend is the cooperation of the media in not broadcasting this. I would like to know if it is a good thing that there was a blackout of some kind.

Is this going to be in an open court or courts? Though there could be a delay in learning the reasons for the arrests, I have a feeling that the purpose that the militia was stopped was/is serious. I have a feeling that the decorum and secrecy of the government officials, including state was essential to and equated to something that is/was a big deal.

Is anyone thinking the same way?

1. I agree. It seems logical since there were raids in several states
the Officials would not want it telegraphed all over the
country. This seems very similar to the way law enforcement
works on very big Drug Arrests. The Media announcement comes
after the arrests are well underway, so as not to tip off
the offenders.

My curiosity is really up there, wondering what is going on.

2. Unfortunately even "pipe bombs or illegal weapons" are a big deal so do not get
your hopes up too high. I personally hope it is huge but have to drop down a peg or two knowing it could be just a firearms thing. Even though we all know there was the possibility of more.

4. I thought the pipe bombs 'reason' came from FOX and was being dismissed because it's FOX. It
would be very typical of them to ratchet this down. You make the teaparty people believe it is nothing and that is what they'll believe until someone shakes them up with some facts that they can't rationalize (and they'll never admit that they were wrong in following FOX).

3. I really hope you are correct-
it would be very disapointing if the silence hasn't been to protect the 'mission'-

It will be interesting to hear.
