Freepers rally to defense of the Hutaree
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2482208/posts

Sample responses:

I didn't read anything about what crime they committed. The only crime I see is the government trespassing on private property. Now that the democrats are in power, I'm sure they will murder more innocent citizens. Just like Ruby Ridge and the unarmed wife. Or assault the citizens with children and kill all of them like before in Waco. They worried they had guns, and to stop them, they just shoot them all, including the children.

--------

The feds weren’t protecting us;

.....THEY WERE SENDING US A WARNING....

--------

This article gives enough information to create an impression. It is propaganda.

The government's actions at this point are indefensible.

--------

Government response to the Tea parties.
I think this may be just the start.

--------

Agreed. This incident reinforces the fear that some of us have that our current administration and its supporters are anti-second amendment.

---------

I don’t think this article gives any information to make an informed opinion
It's not designed to inform, it's government agitprop, designed to get you and me and the rest of the country to cower in fear while Obama is destroying this great country of ours.

I noticed that news of these raids got buried in the newspaper near the Want Ads, and on the front page was Obama in Afghanistan.

I think Holder owes this country an explanation for these raids.

1. One more 'good' response

Posted on the same thread was this:

Boy I will bet the FBI feels proud this morning. They rounded up the White Christian militia who is plotting crimes against US muslims. Certainly a group to worry about. Outside of periodically getting slaughtered by the Justice Department I don't think these poor beggars ever break a law?

3. Freepers are Calendar-challenged. Ruby Ridge was under Bush1. Bush1's ATF targeted Koresh for 4yrs

and were in the process of completing their mission before the brand new Dem attorney general re-focused its priorities.

Janet Reno had no choice but to trust the ATF team that was in place and their 4 years of investigating Koresh at that point.

I seriously wonder what the fuck these people eat that makes them unable to understand calendar dates the rest of us learn by first grade.

5. Got to love the proud ignorance.
"I didn't read anything about what crime they committed. The only crime I see is the government trespassing on private property."

They are intentionally stupid and proud of the fact. No reason to inform themselves first. These people say "praise jeebus and pass the ammo" and that's good enough for freeptards.

6. Someone ought to explain to the Freepers that...
...maybe the government isn't going to wait until for the next attack to happen before stopping those who will not live by the laws of this land. Of course, RimJob's band of idiots are so dense you could probably write it in bright red letters ten feet high and they still wouldn't understand it - even if all you used were one syllable words.

9. Someday . . .
Without sounding too MLK-y, I have a dream that one day, this knuckleheads will come to understand that no government is going to just roll over for an armed insurrection. That those who seek to right a perceived political wrong by the bullet rather than the ballot are likely to be met with an overwhelming response of a military nature. And that no matter how many blood brothers you gather at your cabin deep in the woods, you're always going to be out-manned, out-gunned, and out-intelligenced by a military that spends nearly $2 billion a day on resources.

But no, it won't happen. And they keep thinking that the local Boys and Girls Club Little League team would stand a chance against the Yankees in the Bronx.

10. Amazing
"This militia group is the opening act, at this stage I have formed a preliminary opinion, the Hutarees are patriots, there is no indication they were heading in any extremist direction. Even if they did have some negative thoughts about Israel well so do I half the time.

I suggest we should at this stage support this group as being the ones many of Americans don’t have the cojones for. We on a daily basis pray to god to help us combat evil, this group was in operational mode, they were doing what many of us SHOULD be doing."

I though freepers *liked* cops. The group wanted to kill a cop, and then kill even more at a funeral and "there is no indication they were heading in any extremist direction." :wtf:

11. Waco
Lets get one thing straight about Waco. The ATF went to the Branch Davidian Compound with the intent of serving warrants that had been lawfully obtained. David Koresh was tipped off that they were coming and he opened fire on the ATF agents as they knocked on the door. 6 law enforcement officers were killed that day, yet nobody ever mentions that. They just get caught up in the horrible fire that consumed the compound. Koresh had plenty time to get those children out of there and he chose not to do so. These right wing idiots never seem to get it.
