Republicans didn't get mad when.......
You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate
energy policy.

You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn't get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.

You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn't get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.

You didn't get mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich.

You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all okay with you, but helping other Americans...oh hell no.

It can handle repeating for those of us that don't keep up with DU often enough to know the happenings/postings.

7. OPEN LETTER TO ANGRY "BABY KILLER" REP
Loved it! I think you are being kind.
Open letter to Congressman Randy “baby killer” Neugebauer,

First let me say that you clearly have no respect for the
position you hold, nor the venue in which you serve. You’re
hypocrisy has now come to the forefront with your outburst on
the House floor with your “baby killer” accusation. According
to the dictionary [the real meaning of words], I found one
which you should find familiar:
*HYPOCRISY: (1) Pretense of having virtuous character, moral
or religious beliefs or principles, etc. that one does not
really posses. (2) A pretense of having some desirable or
publicly approved attitude.
One need only read your voting record, and public remarks to
see your true character. For instance, you claim to care
about babies yet you have voted consistently against benefits
for children.

You voted:  NO to expand Children's Health Insurance (1/2009);
NO to expanding SCHIP [State Children's Health Insurance]
eligibility, (10/2007); NO to extending unemployment benefits
from 39 to 59 weeks (10/2008) [Let's hope Mom or Dad don't
need to feed their children in time of need.] NO to increasing
minimum wage to $7.25 per hour (10/2004) [Ditto on feeding the
children]; NO to 4 weeks paid parental leave for federal
employees (6/2009) [In case a family needs time to nurture a
non-aborted biological child, or adopt a baby from a kind
birth mother who decided not to abort her child]. NO on
providing more funds for Section 8 Housing vouchers (6/2006)
[To provide housing for mothers who would not have an
abortion.]

 http://www.ontheissues.org/TX/Randy_Neugebauer.htm

One might think that you can't say "YES" to
anything, but they would be very wrong. You certainly know
how to say YES to anything pro -corporation, or welfare for
the wealthy (tax cuts for the rich, and YES to extend them,
which originally cost $1.3 Trillion for the first 10 years and
you voted to extend for the $4 Trillion price tag) Oh, and of
course you voted YES to drop bombs on Iraqi babies. One who
lives in a glass house should not throw "baby
killer" comments to others.
You claim to be a Christian [Southern Baptist], and claim a
"Christian Family Values" stance on issues. What
Christ are you claiming to represent? The one who caters to
the rich, loves big corporations, gives nothing to the poor or
needy - especially the children? I’ve Never heard of this guy.
I think the new Republican Party made him up. Hey, I don't
care what you believe, proclaim, don't believe, etc. Just
live it. Shame on you and every pandering hypocrite lawmaker
in our country!

I HOPE TO PUBLISH THIS ALL OVER THE INTERNET...FEEL FREE TO
COPY AND PASTE ANYWHERE! This is originally from my blog on
OpenSalon.com
joyonboard.opensalon.com AND I AM NOT EVEN A DEMOCRAT [nor a
Republican, I'm an Independent].

10. Great list and reminder of the previous evil empire
And now we see the President that allowed all that, wiping his hand that shook the hand of an "unwashed" Haitian survivor, on the sleeve of President Clinton. The repubs are truly stuck on stupid. They either don't want to learn or can't?

President Obama makes me proud. I believe he means it when he says if he is a one term president because he tried to get everyone health care that it was worth it. So far, there is no other Dem that ran for Pres that could have done better.

Thanks for the reminder.

14. The rhetoric around me makes my head spin
It does no good to try to explain, argue, etc. to get your point across. Let's put it this way, there is no way I would put an Obama/Democratic sticker on my car, there would be damage. They act like they are rich or something, otherwise they wouldn't vote against their self interest. Our State is one of the poorest, worst schools, medical care, prisons are full and more women are imprisoned here. And, their gun is god. We have guns but know the foolishness of Democrats taking them away from us, ugh - and, we have a bank, church and pharmacy on every corner.
