More Whackjob Militia Hypocrisy
I wonder if any of the assholes that make up the Hutaree or whatever the fuck this latest incarnation of militia tools is calling themselves realize just how hypocritical it is to be busted by the New World Order before even getting their little war started and then at their first court hearing begging said New World Order for help in their defense?

Per CBS News

"All seven defendants appearing in court on Monday requested to be represented by the federal defender's office - a department of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts."

The people that make up these militia movements are just too fucking stupid for words.

1. Well, that's going to work out well, I'm sure.

So much for the "undauntable" militia who claim they'd stand off any force that came to arrest them. Now, they're begging for a free "gubmint" lawyer. I thought that all of these clever folks defended themselves, pro se. Morons abound!

2. So they don't want the government to keep its hands . . .
off their defense. "To me, according to my needs; to others . . . not so much."

3. Not exactly rugged individualist material, are they?
Hard to believe that such heavily-armed badasses are running to Daddy government to help them out in their time of need. Surely, such well-prepared, forward-thinking individuals were prescient enough to figure out that some of their number might be taken alive, and need some kind of legal representation. Musta been in the next chapter, the one they didn't quite get to, of Lao Tzu.

5. Here's the link
<snip>

The indictment identified David Stone as the leader of the group, and alleged that he obtained information about building IEDs over the Internet and sought to have them constructed. Stone and his sons are also charged with obtaining materials to build such weapons and teaching other militia members how to build such weapons for use in criminal activity.

The grand jury also charged all nine defendants with carrying or possessing a firearm during a crime of violence on at least one occasion.

All seven defendants appearing in court on Monday requested to be represented by the federal defender's office - a department of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

6. They shouldn't even demand any rights. They should insist they be held indefinitely at Gitmo...
... until they get a military tribunal.
