Seriously? (no, but it's fun to think about) Also, I accidentally types "theocrazy" and then realized that was probably more apropos.

But anyway, what if some nutty country decided to do a rotating religion thing, where they had a theocracy that changed like every year?

I wonder if that would breed tolerance or just more intolerance?

2. It does get annoying.
And their philosophies. And their politics. And their beliefs of any kind. It does get annoying.

15. And the fact the RW'ers feel they represent all of American and are the
only "real" religious group in America. I get so tired of hearing about these people/groups in the media, but part of me says it's a good idea to keep an eye on them than if they were operating in the dark.

22. I'll bet if someone told you to keep your sex life to yourself,
or your political opinions, you would correctly be irate.

So tell us, oh wise one, who gets to determine what we have to shut up about?

Not that I'm saying love of ice cream is or should be a religion or anything.

But all hail the Vanilla Swiss Almond!

5. Someone once defined a theocracy
One man. One vote. One time.

Once ANY theo-crazy gets power, they won't give up till they're dead.

16. Let them have their own state and they will annihilate each other trying
to dominate each other... then the rest of us can live in peace.

9. No, no, no. Wrong concept
The idea is that if a population wants a theocrazy, then they have to rotate through *all* of the religions at regular intervals (no more than a year each).

It might be a good way to breed the religion out of people.

8. pledge of allegiance ..
I kept thinking the pledge should rotate the different names of "God" ... I'd like to see the right's reaction
to 'one nation, under Allah"

...every time some nuisance civ, like the Mongols, pops up you throw them a bone and convert to their religion, until some other yahoos come along....and you convert again. Keeps everyone happy.

As a woman I have yet to find an organized religion that does not oppress women. I do not consider Buddhidsm to be an organized religion.
