White Supremacist Radios Ads Cause Stir
Station Management: Write-In Candidate's Political Ads Must Be Allowed To Run

An avowed white supremacist is on the radio promoting his candidacy for the Missouri U.S. Senate.

Miller is a write-in candidate, which means the radio station must run his ads. Management at KMBZ said that their lawyers told them that federal regulations require them to run political ads.

The sticking point appears to be a rule that states that if a station accepts one political advertisement, it much accept all political advertisements.

In the mid-1980s, Glenn Miller was a leader of the White Patriot's Party in North Carolina. In 2006, he was in Southwest Missouri, running a newspaper called the Aryan Alternative. KMBC interviewed him at that time.

The Missouri Secretary of State confirmed in documents that Miller is a legitimate candidate.
