Republicans Throw Out Excuses Made By Bullies & Children Everywhere To Excuse Their Violent Behavior
Edited on Tue Mar-30-10 08:49 AM by KittyWampus
The Bully- "Democrats deserve what they get for passing unpopular legislation" or "Democrats caused this by not involving Republicans in the process".

When you point out that there were Republicans in the Committees and that President Obama sat down with Republicans begging for a plan, they offered nothing- "but Republicans weren't included in the meetings that REALLY mattered".

The 5 Year Old Child- "Democrats do it too".

When you point out that it's wrong no matter who does it and must stop, Republicans go back to #1, The Bully.

I listened to a debate on NPR radio yesterday. The Host actually did a pretty good job. But the Republican strategy really does boil down to those two tactics.

Don't know what the best talking point for this juvenile but dangerous behavior is. Maybe the entire Republican party needs a time out.

1. It's not all "us" vs. "them", all the evildoers are not republican and not all republicans are ...

evildoers.

It would be much more comfortable to stereotype in this manner but it's intellectually lazy. :(

2. It would be a LOT more encouraging
This would be a lot less us vs. them if even one Republican had voted for the new health care law. But not a one of them did. Perhaps not all Republicans are evildoers, but I don't see a lot of evidence for that assertion. Maybe we could start a list of Republicans who buck their party to do what they know is right? I'd go first, but I'm stumped.

4. That's because the Senate's HRC sucks for all but the large Insurance Corporations.
Both parties are equally justified to despise the shit that has been passed and now is being touted as "blessed reform" ... but the parties have different rationale.

It's no secret that the democrats will be out of power for several election cycles once this horrific "trojan horse" of a poor Health Care Reform Bill is increasingly unveiled.

We are screwed thanks to the New Way Democrats and our Present Administration.

Don't believe me? That's cool. Wait for it?

9. This will be three times I've made this bet
It's been taken once, and I got no response the second time. I will bet you a $10 donation to DU that the Democrats will maintain their majorities in both the House and the Senate in 2010, and in no way will they be out of power for this election cycle or the 2012 election cycle.

So no, I don't believe you, and I'm willing to put some money on it for a good cause. Are you?

7. Left and right need to stop making excuses for violence or ethics violations
it is more extreme on the right but both sides seem to like to make excuses for their favorite terrorists.
