Loud applause for President Obama and Jill Biden
President Thanks Dr. Biden
2 Major victories in one week
new investment in community health centers
tackle fraud and abuse
overlooked: what happened in education
padding student lenders profits, big banks hired an army of lobbyists
I didn't stand with the banks, we stood with you the students, together we finally won that battle
we can't afford millions in giveaways to banks
68 billion in savings by cutting out the middleman
so far this year grants increased
doubling the amount of grants
restore fairness to repay loans, we had big debts
making it easier to pay off loans
no more than 10% of your income to pay the loans, that will make a meaningful difference
this won't solve all of our problems, colleges have to help to hold down intuition

student loans have worked for banks
today we are making it work for students
Thanking people now and Congress
