HCR-Reconciliation Bill expires in 2015 or 2020? |
|
I've been trying to find this information on the Internet, but have been unable to find concrete information.
I understand reconciliation has an expiration date of either 5 or 10 years. I thought it was 10 years, but I read that the budget window set up by Senator Kent Conrad (North Dakota) is for only 5 years.
So, does this bill have to be renewed in 5 or 10 years?

2. Thanks. It sounds like 2020 is the expiration date |
|
And not 2015. Thanks for the document.

Bush's 2001 tax cuts had a 10-year sunset provision to get past the Byrd rule of not adding deficits.
