The teabagger mentality, neatly summed up |
|
At Wal-Mart, I saw a minivan with several anti-Obama bumper stickers on its window, like the old, "I want my freedom, you can keep the change," etc. There was one I hadn't seen, "You Lie," with the O as the Obama logo with a red line through it.
But here was the real kicker.
It had a handicapped license plate, and was parked in a handicapped zone.
I swear, if I'd had spare paper on me, I would've left a note under the windshield reading, "Since you don't want big government involved in your health issues, would you mind getting OFF disability, and TURNING IN your handicapped parking permit, so they can be used for some 'big-government liberal' who would be grateful for such government programs? Thanks!"

3. A handicapped parking sticker or tag doesn't mean you are on disability. |

I have a handicapped tag so I can park close to where I work, since I can no longer walk very far because of bulging lumbar discs and sciatica.

4. Disability aside, what about the parking space itself? |

5. We're missing a few people in this definition.... |

Talked to a very good friend today whom I've known for years and mentioned how annoying the teabaggers are... oops, turns out she's been to a Tea Party event! She's an ESL educator with a Master's Degree, has traveled the world, and would never think of harming another person. I was shocked at her change in political viewpoints since she used to be progressive. But there she is, an anti-gun, feminist, atheist, non-racist tea party person. She told me she thought the media was trying to portray Tea partiers as racist, uneducated and violent. She told me it was the GM bailout that really put her over the edge. She says she thinks Birthers are insane. So, we can't generalize about them and be accurate.

7. They are racist, uneducated and violent. |

All you have to do is look at photographs of their gatherings. I hope your friend has a moment of clarity before she is embarrassed by these ugly people.
