When I wanted to talk about oil, no one gave a shit. But now that
President Obama is opening offshore drilling, there's 10,000 fucking posts about it.

And nobody even gets it. Why are we having to drill offshore for oil? WHY? "To reduce or eliminate our dependence on foriegn oil!" is what some of you would say. Well, that's part of it. The other part is the part that none of you gave a shit about when I tried to make an issue of it.

But today oil is your #1 issue. Go fucking figure.

3. My post is about the fact that when I tried to discuss oil, no one here cared. Now

suddenly they do.

No one gives a shit about me and that's ok. It's not about me. It's about our future way of life and the future of our children and our grandchildren. But apparently to get anyone to focus on energy here, you either must be fucking up the environment or paying high prices at the pump. But no one EVER cares to discuss the WHY of needing to find more oil in the hardest and most environmentally sensitive areas.

And it pisses me off that some now seem to take the attitude that it's OK to drill those areas just because it's not the bush admin and is our guy doing it.

6. Nope. I hang out here in GD where the action is. My message is
mostly preaching to the choir in E&E. It's the general public that needs to know what we know. But, infuriatingly, they just don't care no matter what it means to their babies.

8. Call me crazy, but building them here actually crossed my mind. I know, that would
require the government prying its lips off of Wall Street's ass for a change...
